Sydney’s leisure and entertainment venue, The Star has been officially relaunched, with a spectacular opening ceremony. The AU$870 million (US$894 million) transformation of Star City included the complete re-orientation of the building. Located on Sydney’s harbourside, The Star includes more than 20 restaurants, bars and cafes, upscale retail outlets, a 4,000-pax capacity entertainment centre and gaming areas. A key feature of the development is The Darling, the new 171-room five-star hotel and spa. The opening ceremony was attended by Aussie A-listers, Olivia Newton John and Russell Crowe.
