Travel + Leisure unveils its sixth annual list of “IT" hotels around the globe to highlight what the magazine’s editors consider the world’s best new hotels. The list, which divides the 50 into six categories – city, beach, design, resort, preservation and rustic. Saffire Freycinet, located midway along Tasmania’s east coast, is one of 11 resort hotels. The only other property in this part of the world to make the top 50 is Matakauri Lodge in Queenstown NZ, which is rated rustic.
