Singapore Airlines Takes Delivery of 80th A380

Singapore Airlines has taken delivery of a new Airbus A380, the world’s 80th superjumbo to be put into service. The changi-based carrier was the first airline to operate the A380 when it took delivery of its first aircraft in October 2007, and has since received 21 of the double decker aircraft, with a further 16 on order.

Singapore Airlines recently revealed plans to launch A380 flights to San Franscisco this winter, as well as adding a second daily A380 service to Tokyo.
