This month marked the 45th anniversary of Singapore Airlines’ inaugural services to Perth and Sydney in April 1967.
The anniversary reflects the importance Australia continues to play in Singapore Airlines’ growth. On 1 April 1967, a 707-320 touched down in Perth then Sydney marking the inauguration of Singapore-Australia services by Malaysia-Singapore Airlines (MSA), followed immediately on 4 April by the start of MSA’s DH 4C services to Perth.
Celebrations in Sydney will coincide with another milestone, the fifth anniversary of the inaugural A380 flight from Singapore to Sydney in October 2007.
