Giving airlines new competition, Malaysia and Singapore have agreed to build a new high speed rail link between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.
Launching in 2020, the new transport system is expected to cut down travel time, taking only 90 minutes to travel from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur and vice versa.
Singaporean and Malaysian leaders have described the rail link as a “game changer” and expect it to stimulate travel between the two cities as well as enhance business linkages.
