Queen Mary 2 is to undergo a major refurbishment just two months before the ship arrives in Sydney for its circumnavigation of Australia.
The 2,620-guest vessel will spend two weeks at the Blohm & Voss Shipyard in Hamburg from November 24 with all 1310 staterooms and a number of restaurants and bars receiving makeovers.
The equivalent of 10 football pitches will be recarpeted. Several new on board features will also be added with details to be released soon.
QM2 departs Sydney for the Australian round trip on February 14, returning on March 7.
