QLD Announces $10M Global Marketing Campaign

Queensland’s Premier Anna Bligh announced on Wednesday the details of a $10m marketing campaign designed to revive national and international interest in the state in the wake of the string of natural disasters from the past few months. The campaign slogan, “Nothing beats Queensland” is a play on words highlighting the state’s ability to overcome adversity, with Anna Bligh commenting “Just as the disasters have not beaten us, we’re out to tell the world that nothing beats Queensland.” A portion of the campaign budget will go towards encouraging Queenslanders themselves to take holidays in the state.
