Thanyamundra, a new boutique working farm resort, has opened in Khao Sok National Park, southern Thailand. The resort offers nine antique-filled rooms and suites in two modern, Thai-inspired villas, set in the green surroundings of the national park, two hours drive from Phuket International Airport.
All rooms come equipped with modern amenities such as high-speed wireless Internet and LCD flat screen TVs, as well as large bathrooms with separate rain showers. The two suites also include large terraces overlooking the rice paddies, fruit orchards and bamboo forests.
Thanyamundra is home to a 12-hectare organic farm, including rows of Thai and Italian basil, rocket, dill, coriander and chilies, as well as white and purple eggplants, red snake beans, winged peas, bitter gourds, avocados and morning glory. A fruit orchard includes papaya, passion fruit, mango and banana trees. Guests can pick their own produce under the guidance of Thanyamundra’s chef who will then lead Thai cooking classes.
The resort also includes a range of fitness and leisure facilities including a 50-metre hilltop infinity pool, Technogym equipment, and spa treatments, meditation, yoga and Pilates sessions. In addition, individual guests or groups can work at the on-site farm team or reserve the entire farm to host private functions for up to fifty pax.
