Malaysia Airlines Announces New A330-300 Services from Sydney

Malaysia Airlines will commence A330-300 services on its Sydney-Kuala Lumpur route beginning 7 March 2013. The 283-seater A330-300 services from Sydney replaces the current evening B777-200 departures and will be double daily from 1 April 2013.

Effective 07 March 2013, the A330-300 flight MH140 departs Sydney daily at 9.55pm arriving in Kuala Lumpur at 3.20am the following day, while effective 1 April 2013 flight MH122, the second daily A330-300 service departs Sydney at 3.40pm arriving Kuala Lumpur the same day at 8.50pm. The return flight, MH141 will depart Kuala Lumpur daily at 9.00am to arrive in Sydney at 7.55pm, while the MH123 daily service departs Kuala Lumpur at 10.50pm arriving in Sydney at 9.45am the following day.

The introduction of these new aircraft will facilitate and reinforce Malaysia Airlines’ position in the Australasian market giving customers the opportunity to experience the latest state of the art product coupled with our award winning hospitality.

The A330-300 aircraft features the latest innovation in terms of passenger comfort, with the new interior to include mood lighting in all cabins and spacious overhead baggage compartments. Business Class offers 36 Recaro seats with a spacious 60-inch seat pitch which transforms into a lie-flat seat at a 12 degree sleeping angle, while in Economy passengers can enjoy weber designed seating with a comfortable 32-inch seat pitch – one of the roomiest Economy Class seats in the industry.

Business Class customers flying to and from Sydney will also cherish the premium Chef-on-Call service which features various meal options ranging from Malaysian favourites, international cuisines, chef’s recommendations and also light and healthy choices. Malaysia Airlines currently operates 51 weekly flights from Australian cities to Malaysia, comprising Sydney (14 flights), Melbourne (14 flights), Brisbane (5 flights), Adelaide (7 flights), and Perth (11 flights).
