Hainan Airlines Expands Flight Network To Include Australia

The five star rated Hainan Airlines continues to expand its flight network with flights to Sydney beginning earlier this year now in full swing. The new route is operated on Airbus A330 aircraft with outbound flights leaving Hangzhou every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 15:55, arriving in Shenzhen at 18:00 and leaving at 19:20 and arriving in Sydney at 07:40 the next day. Return flights will depart Sydney every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 10:10, arriving in Shenzhen at 16:40 and leaving at 17:55 to arrive in Hangzhou at 19:50 (All time mentioned refers to local time at location).

The new service is primarily targeted at tourists, overseas students and business people between China and Australia which proved to be a growing market. The three cities have always been “dream" destinations, and the new Memorandum of Understanding for leisure travel has spurred demand for the service.

The addition of the route makes Hainan Airlines domestic network in East and South China denser and expands its international network to Australia for the first timw. Hainan Airlines carries more than 14 million passengers annually and connects about 100 domestic and international cities with its more than 500 routes, covering Asia, Europe, Africa, America and Oceania.
