COVID-19 testing facility
The COVID-19 testing site is located in Terminal 1, next to the Doctor’s clinic (before security screening). The facility, run by Histopath Diagnostic Specialists, can provide travellers with test results in under an hour. Tests are aimed at international travellers that require a pre-departure COVID-19 test. The clinic also provides blood antibody tests. The clinic is open from 5:30am until the last flight at night closes.

Wearing masks
Masks are mandatory inside Melbourne Airport and on all flights to and from Melbourne. For information on mask use, please visit DHHS.

International travel
Fully vaccinated international travellers are able to enter Victoria without spending 14 days in hotel quarantine as part of the Victorian Government’s Roadmap to Deliver the National Plan.

International arrivals will still need to comply with Commonwealth visa requirements that currently restrict entry to Australian citizens or residents, unless there is an exemption. International arrivals will need to demonstrate their vaccination status to the Commonwealth with a vaccine approved or recognised by the Therapeutic Goods Administration. Arrivals will also be required to test negative to COVID-19 within 72 hours of their departure and will be required to undertake testing within 24 hours of arrival into Victoria.
