The Victor Hugo was built in 2000 and accommodates a maximum of 98 passengers in three star comfort. The 49 cabins are arranged over two decks and feature a picture window, en-suite bathroom with shower, a desk, wardrobe, flatscreen television, telephone, radio, air-conditioning and a safe. Five of the cabins have a double bed and all others have twin beds.

Meals are served in the fixed-seating restaurant with tables of four to six. Breakfast consists of a hot and cold buffet and lunch and dinner are table service, with wine and bottled water included. Lunch and dinner are set menus and the French chef prepares excellent freshly produced and original cuisine with a continental feel.

The lounge/bar area is a lovely area to relax with comfortable sofas and chairs. There is also a spacious sun deck with plenty of furniture and an area under shade. The crew of 24 are welcoming and offer a friendly service. The official language onboard is French, however the majority of staff speak English.
