For the second year in a row, Machu Picchu was chosen by Trip Advisor as the world’s best touristic attraction. This recognition was obtained as part of the 2014 Travelers’ Choice Attractions Award where millions of followers and readers of the website voted for their favourite destinations. The ‘Lost Citadel of the Incas’ was followed by the Grand Mosque Shelkh Zayed (UAE), the Taj Mahal (India), the Great Cathedral and Mosque of Cordoba (Spain) and St. Peter’s Basilica at the Vatican (Italy).
