Itinerary:
21st December: Arrive in Melbourne

22nd December: Exploring Melbourne
This afternoon join a guided city tour around the wonderful Victorian capital. Than later in the evening take a Tramcar Dinner Tour from 5:45 to 7:15 (later sessions available).
23rd December: Phillip Island Tours
This afternoon join a guided tour of Phillip Island and get up close to Australia’s famous wildlife. You’ll visit the township of Cowes and the seaside, go past the Moto GP track, visit the west most point at the Nobbies, see the seal rocks, the Chicory kilns around the Island and the famous Penguin Parade and Warrook Cattle Farm and the Koala Conservation Center if time allows.
24th December, Melbourne to Cairns
Transfer to 3 nights at The Shangri-la, Cairns in an executive suite with horizon club access. Spend you day lounging on the beach or exploring the local area, experiencing the rich local heritage and indigenous culture.
On the night of your arrival you can take an optional tour of Cairns Night Zoo.
25th December, Barrier Reef Tour
Fly and cruise the Great Barrier Reef, one of the seven wonders of the world. You’ll join a scenic helicopter tour from Cairns over the stunning Great Barrier Reef, then cruise, snorkel and dive the reef. You’ll have unforgettable aerial views of the Great Barrier Reef’s coral and marine life, and enjoy lunch on the water.

26th December, Rail, Sky and Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park
Experience the rainforest beauty of Far North Queensland on a scenic day trip from Cairns. Ride the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway then return on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway for an optional tour to Tjupakai Aboriginal Cultural Park in Cairns. Learn about Tropical North Queensland’s pioneering history on a leisurely train journey to Kuranda ‘the village in the rainforest’. Relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery as you wind your way through the rainforest. A short photo stop is made at Barron Gorge and as you cross Stoney Creek Bridge, before arriving in Kuranda. At the stop in Kuranda you will have lunch at a guide recommended restaurant. Then enjoy the tranquility of the rainforest as you soar above the canopy aboard the Skyrail back to Cairns.
In Cairns you have the option to experience an evening of Indigenous culture at Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park. Tjapukai means rainforest and on this engaging cultural tour you’ll hear the story of the Tjapukai people, watch theatrical performances, join in interactive activities and learn the traditonal customs of the rainforest and its people. The Aboriginal Cultural Tjapukai tour includes a drink on arrival, Welcome Ceremony, Lakeside Ceremony, dance show, international buffet dinner, dessert, tea and coffee. It’s an experience that will leave you with deep and lasting memory of Australia’s traditional people and culture.
27th December, Cairns to Sydney
Transfer to Sydney for 5 nights at Sheraton On The Park in an Executive Suite. Upon arrival take the afternoon at leisure or walk around Sydney Opera house and enjoy the summer breeze over the Harbour. Or head to the Rocks for dinner, with numerous restaurants of highest standard that will suit anyone’s tastes. Or simply go shopping around the City for the great post Christmas sale season.
28th December, Sydney
Today take a private guided tour of the Eastern Suburbs plus a Seaplane trip 30 minute trip each way to Cottage Point for lunch (meal costs not included). Have a fantastic view over Sydney, its harbour, beaches and beautiful landscape. Then during the evening you have the option to visit the Sydney Aquarium and have dinner at one of the many brilliant restaurants on Darling Harbour.
29th December, Sydney
This morning go behind-the-scenes at Taronga Zoo for an interactive and close up encounter with Australian wildlife. Feed a wallaby and take photos with a koala during this intimate small group tour which has a maximum of only eight participants. Led by an experienced zookeeper, you’ll learn interesting facts about Australian animals as you meet them face-to-face at Sydney Taronga Zoo.
Alternative, go for a guided shopping tour in Sydney, during the biggest Sale season in Sydney.
Afterwards experience High Tea at the Sydney Opera House. Enjoy views of Sydney’s skyline, the Royal Botanic Gardens and of course, the famous harbor, as you enjoy an afternoon in Sydney in style. The highlight of the afternoon is a private performance by an acclaimed opera singer who will entertain you and other guests while you sample a sophisticated High Tea created by three-star Michelin-trained French Chef, Guillaume Brahimi.

Spend today relaxing and exploring the city at your own leisure. Maybe do some last minute shopping to prepare for the festivities of the next day.
31st December, Sydney
Day at leisure or sun bath/swim/surf at the famous Bondi Beach, relaxing in the sand and prepare for the big night to celebrate the beginning of 2012.
Sydney Harbour is possibly the best place in the world to farewell the old year and usher in the new. Each year, the balmy summer celebrations on the harbour brings out hoards of party goers looking to get the perfect view of the spectacular fireworks that have made Sydney world-renown for its end of year celebrations.
