On the Glorious Twelfth all over Scotland the Estates host the biggest game drive of the season – driven Red Grouse. Join the thrill of the season in 2016 at Angus Glens, renowned grouse moors since the 18th century. Frequent visitors to the glens included the future Queen Elizabeth with her father King George VI.
“There are few moments that can match the thrill of standing in a grouse butt, eyes fixed on the heather horizon as a covey of Scottish red grouse appear, wind at their backs, hugging the rugged contours of the ground while flying at up to eighty-five miles an hour – this is the magic of a driven grouse day on top of some of the finest estates in Scotland"
Your day will begin at dawn, only a short drive by four-wheel vehicle from the iconic House of Turin and straight to the nearby Estate to meet the keepers and briefing on the days’ events.
