Why Salvador, Bahia for Carnival???
Most people think that Carnival in Rio de Janeiro is the most popular Carnival in the world, but to Brazilians, its in Salvador, Bahia. Unlike Carnival in Rio, where most of the festivities are in bleachers and balls throughout the city, watching the fancy parades, you get to actually participate in the Carnival in Salvador. If you like humungous street parties, Salvador is the place you want to be. It’s a crowd participation party as parades of live bands on big tall 3 story floats with powerful sound systems roll through the city and endless crowds of partiers follow along dancing and drinking until the point of passing out!!!

Carnival in Salvador is characterized by 24/7 partying. Over a million people hit the streets to celebrate the biggest party in the world. People from all over Brazil travel to Bahia for Carnival. Carnival in Rio is more touristy as apposed to Carnival in Bahia, which is more authentic and local. Bahia is also safer. Rio de Janeiro attracts many theifs and pickpocketers because of the amount of tourists from all over the world.

Everyone who’s ever gone to Salvador for Carnival has stories of partying, meeting people and leaving the party just to return to the party later for another round and it goes on all night long for 5 days. So, prepare yourself to get some rest during the day so you can be in the streets all night long.

The predominant music is Axe whose songs are always accompanied with dance moves that all the locals have learned and can’t wait to show off for Carnival. Some of the moves remind one of Dancehall Reggae style dancing with lots of hip thrusting. This is serious Carnival country. Get prepared to party your ass off! * The VIP Party Service in Salvador is seperated into 2 types of parties. “Camarote" parties, re located next to the parade route. Camarotes are huge parties with different dance floors, food courts, bars, and hundreds beautiful Brazilian singles. “Blocos" are street parties inside the parade. You actually participate, most will find it crazier and more fun!
The quality of the blocos and camarotes in salvador is important to ensure you have the best time of your life! There are many carnival circuites and some are unsafe. Addtionally English is not spoken in Salvador so it is very important to have company guides/security (which this tour provides).
We offer packages with additional bloco and camarote tickets for the other 2 nights or assist you obtaining them after your first carnival experience in Salvador.
