Day 1 (SEVILLA – CORDOBA)
Meeting point at 12.00 hours in platform 12 at Santa Justa Railway Station in Sevilla. A personal welcome by our staff followed by immediate boarding on the Al-Andalus Express which will then commence its journey through the fascinating and legendary cities of Andalusia. Presentation and welcome cocktail on board as we depart for Cordoba. Lunch on board the train. In the afternoon, we visit the city of Cordoba (its famous Mosque, the Jewish quarter) where several ancient cultures learned to co-exist in complete harmony. Return to the train after the tour where dinner will await us. Overnight on board the Al-Andalus Express.
Day 2 (CORDOBA – GRANADA)
Breakfast on board as we continue our journey to Baeza and visit the Olive Oil Museum to see the traditional extraction processes in the old quarter of this monumental city. We transfer on to beautiful Ubeda, famous for its Renaissance architecture, where we lunch and visit the town. Return to the train for dinner on board whilst we travel to Granada. Musical entertainment and overnight on board in Granada.
Day 3 (GRANADA)
Breakfast on board. Transfer to the impressive Alhambra Palace, for a tour of the Nazarine palaces and the incomparable gardens of the Generalife. Lunch will be enjoyed at a select local restaurant. Afternoon free to wander and explore this historical city and perhaps to purchase some local handicrafts. Dinner and a show of Flamenco the famous Andalusian dance. Overnight on board in Granada.
Day 4 (GRANADA – CADIZ)
Breakfast on board as we arrive in Bobadilla, and continue to Ronda, passing through the spectacular mountainous region. We visit the old town, the House of Don Bosco, the Cathedral and the oldest Bullring in Spain. Lunch. In the afternoon we travel by train to old coastal Cadiz for a walk around the city followed by dinner. Overnight on board in Cadiz.
Day 5 (CADIZ – SEVILLA)
Breakfast on board while travelling to Jerez de la Frontera. Transfer to the Real Escuela Andaluza de Arte Ecuestre (Royal Andalusian Riding School) to see a performance of its famous Carthusian horses. Typical Spanish lunch and visit to the famous wine cellars. Return to the train to continue our trip to Sevilla. A Gala Dinner, with after-dinner entertainment from Rociero dance group. Overnight on board in Sevilla.
Day 6 (SEVILLA)
Breakfast on board the Al-Andalus Express. End of journey at Santa Justa Station at 10.00 hours. End of services.
