Rusutsu is situated 79km west of Sapporo close to Niseko and the extinct volcano Mt Yotei. The resort itself is a modern day mecca consisting of every possible facility to keep just about everyone entertained. The lift network is spread over 3 peaks offering a wide variety of terrain catering to all levels of skiers and snowboarders. The peak of Mt Izola offers the best terrain with long and challenging runs combined with panoramic scenery. Plenty of other activities other than skiing can be enjoyed such as dogsledding, snowmobiling, snowrafting and tubing.
The Rusutsu Resort Hotel is a fully serviced resort, restaurants, shopping malls, entertainment complexes, swimming and wave pool, spas, bars and a merry-go-round are all within the resort. Dining is an experience in itself with so many restaurants to choice from the decision is always going to be difficult.
The Tower hotel offers luxury accommodation with spacious, comfortable rooms that cater towards those who want just a little more than a room to relax in. The main resort hotel is divided into the North and South Wing Hotels with most of the rooms enjoying great views of the surrounding mountains and alpine vistas. The adjoining Main Annex and Travel Lodge offers more compact western style rooms with twin bedding and small ensuite bathrooms suitable for the budget traveler. Both North and South Wings Hotel and the Main Annex and Travel Lodge offer direct access to slopes as well as shopping and entertainment/sporting facilities. Log cabins and cottages are also available perfect for large families and groups.
