The Pure McLaren Arctic Experience programme takes place over three weeks in January/February 2020 aceoss five different groups:

Groups 1, 3 and 5 will have two days driving on the ice with three nights accommodation.
Groups 2 and 4 follow a new three day, four night programme, giving you the opportunity to spend an extra day mastering the ice.
The McLaren Ice Driving Centre encompasses three lakes and over 100km of almost permanently frozen roads and hillside trails. It is here you will test the limits of both ythe driving and the McLaren 570S. Over two days of driving activity you will rotate through multiple frozen track configurations working with your McLaren Ice Driving Specialist as you master the basics and then advanced driving skills, and ultimately understand how to get the most from the power and agility of your McLaren.
The Experience
Join McLaren for a very special experience 200 miles north of the Arctic Circle. As the temperature plummets in Northern Finland, the landscape crystallises and sets the scene for what will be an unforgettable driving adventure. Within one of Finland’s most expansive winter testing facilities, you will discover the power and agility of the McLaren 570S by pushing your driving skills to the limit with the help of their professional coaches. With its ice tracks specially designed for McLaren, this is the perfect winter wonderland to put the McLaren 570S and your driving, to the ultimate test.
Set within a dedicated winter testing facility in Finland, the McLaren Ice Driving Centre encompasses three lakes and over 100km of almost permanently frozen tracks, making this the most varied ice driving experience in the world. The facility has been expanded for 2018 to offer more track configurations, challenging even those more advanced drivers.
When you’re in need of respite from the exhilaration of drifting around the ice and snow, you can relax by the warmth of the roaring fire in the McLaren Kota – a traditional Finnish building. You’ll also want to refuel and the Kota will provide refreshments and catering throughout the day. Lunch is a particular highlight with your delicious Finnish meal being cooked right in front of you over the open fire.
In the Driving Seat
Learning to drive on ice is a unique experience, one that will stay with you long after the snow has melted. And of course, being behind the wheel of a McLaren 570S makes it all the more exhilarating.
The programme is tailored to you and designed to help you achieve your goal, whether that be mastering the infamous Scandinavian flick or building the confidence driving in challenging conditions. When you return to driving on asphalt, you will be able to put these newly learned skills into practice and get the most from the power and agility of McLaren cars.
Working with one of the Pure McLaren Driver Coaches, you will maneuver at your own pace through a variety of track configurations. When on the ice, the slightest of steering and throttle adjustments can invoke a drift. Your coach will help you understand how to control the car and manipulate the slide to your advantage.
Once you’ve mastered the basics you will be ready to tackle more dynamic layouts, putting your new skills to the test as you slide your McLaren through challenging twists and turns.
Those who have visited before can take advantage of further exciting challenges ahead with McLaren’s advanced driving programme.
Adventures in the Snow
The fast pace does not end on the track. Experience the excitement of driving your own team of dogs as they transport ou across a magical winter wonderland of snow-capped forests and frozen lakes on a timeless and unforgettable adventure.
Swap your McLaren for a snowmobile and discover the untamed landscape of Lapland. Travelling in convoy behind your experienced guide, you will discover the exhilaration that comes from driving deep into the wilderness.
Non-driving guests will also have the opportunity to further explore the Finnish wilderness with snowshoeing and a visit to the Sami reindeer herders. Here you will learn about the Sami way of life and hand-feed these magnificent creatures.
If that wasn’t enough, you’ll also have the opportunity to go fatbiking to further discover the snow-topped landscape on either a manual or e-bike.
Those non-driving guests who are joining for the 3-day programme will take respite from the Arctic chill on a luxury spa day, including a traditional Finnish sauna.

As you arrive at the Northern Lights Airport in Ivalo you will be transferred to the exclusive Jávri Lodge. Here you can relax, meet the team and enjoy your welcome dinner.
Day one
Head to the McLaren Ice Driving Centre to take on multiple track configurations from behind the wheel of a McLaren 570S. As night falls, join McLaren for a traditional Finnish gourmet dinner at Laanilan Kievari.
Day two
Returning to the ice you will progress to more challenging tracks with your coach guiding you through every drift and turn. During the evening, share memories with fellow guests and enjoy a farewell dinner.
Departure day
After breakfast your adventure concludes with a thrilling fatbiking experience across the stunning landscape. You’ll have the opportunity to choose between a manual or e-bike depending on your preference.
3-day programme – Groups 2 & 4
Arrival day
As you arrive at the Northern Lights Airport in Ivalo you will be transferred to the exclusive Jávri Lodge. Here you can relax, meet the team and enjoy your welcome dinner.
Day one
Head to the McLaren Ice Driving Centre to take on multiple track configurations from behind the wheel of a McLaren 570S. As night falls, get cosy as you dine on a traditional Kota meal cooked over an open fire.
Day two
Returning to the ice you will progress to more challenging tracks with your coach guiding you through every drift and turn. Afterwards, join us for a traditional Finnish gourmet dinner at Laanilan Kievari.
Day three
Your final day behind the wheel will allow you to build on everything you’ve learned to master advanced driving techniques. In the evening, share memories with fellow guests and enjoy a farewell dinner.
Departure day
After breakfast your adventure concludes with a thrilling fatbiking experience across the stunning landscape. You’ll have the opportunity to choose between a manual or e-bike depending on your preference, before returning to Ivalo Airport.
