Begin your unique adventure with a stay at the glorious Belmond Hotel Cipriani where you can experience this exquisite Venetian classic. The celebrations begin with a pop-up speakeasy and magnificent feast. This evening join your fellow party-goers and raise a toast to the journey ahead.
Day 2 – 28 March 2020
Venice
Board the iconic midnight blue carriages at Santa Lucia Station, Venice. After settling into your cabin, sit down to a sumptuous three-course lunch in one of the stunning dining cars. Gaze at the changing scenery as the train courses through the Italian Dolomites and feel a frisson of anticipation at what’s to come.
The excitement builds with enthralling surprises and appearances of notorious 1920s characters. This evening, make your way to Bar Car ‘3674’ for a refreshing aperitif and a taste of the unfolding drama. Dinner is a lavish four-course feast prepared by our expert chefs and accompanied by the sommelier’s choice of wines.
Tonight the party continues as long as you do, so leave your inhibitions on the platform and embrace the atmosphere of a bygone era. Put your Charleston skills to the test, and make sure the 2020’s begin as they mean to go on. When you do eventually seek sleep, you’ll find your cabin transformed into a cosy bedroom. Simply allow the gentle movement of the train to soothe you into a deep sleep.
Day 3 – 29 March 2020
London
This morning there’s no need to rush. Instead, pause and reflect on last night’s antics over a leisurely continental breakfast in your cabin. As the train pulls into Paris, stretch your legs on the platform – or you may prefer to stay aboard and explore the carriages.
Enjoy a restorative brunch in one of the dining cars as we continue towards the Channel. At Calais Ville Station, step off the train, board a private coach and continue through the Channel Tunnel. Our uniformed hosts will look after you every step of the way.
At Folkestone, another chance to immerse yourself in 1920s luxury awaits. Step aboard the art deco carriages of Belmond British Pullman, sister train of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. Admire the elegant marquetry and brassware as you sink into your plush armchair. Indulge in afternoon tea and a glass of sparkling English wine, and daydream as the train glides through the Kent countryside. At London Victoria Station, it’s time to say farewell to your fellow revelers. Then head off on your onward travels, head full of extraordinary memories.
