Day 2:
Sydney
Start the morning with an exclusive tour of the Anzac Memorial in Hyde Park and learn about the symbolism and meaning found
in this historic sculptural monument. Next, we enjoy a back-of-house tour of Opera Australia’s impressive production workshops at the Opera Centre. This evening we transfer to Mrs Macquaries Point for a night of mystery and romance. From premium reserve seating, immerse yourself in the atmosphere as the sun sets over Sydney’s spectacular skyline. Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour’s dazzling new
production showcases The Phantom of the Opera as you have never seen it before – under the stars, on a floating stage, city lights glittering in the background. Be awed by a new level of spectacle brought to the show’s defining moments – the mirror, the journey to the Phantom’s lair and the famed chandelier brought to life by opera’s top talents accompanied by a live orchestra hidden beneath the stage. The Phantom haunts the catacombs beneath the Paris Opera House. He’s man and mystery, a deformed genius. In Christine Daae, he’s found his angel of
music – the young woman he would make a star. Be mesmerised as their tale draws you in to the magic and music of the night!

Enjoy a cruise through the waterways of Port Stephens which is characterised by small bays and the estuaries of the Myall River, Tilligerry Creek and the Karuah River. As we make our way around the waterways, enjoy lunch and perhaps spot dolphins, flocks of oceanic sea birds or southern fur seals lazing on the rocks at Cabbage Tree Island. Next, we visit Port Stephens Koala Sanctuary, which provides a unique opportunity to see these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat. This evening we enjoy a farewell dinner at The Wild Herring, recently named Best Seafood Restaurant in regional NSW.
