Day 1 (Lisbon)
Morning arrival to Lisbon airport. Meeting and assistance by a local representative and transfer to the hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure to relax or explore this city on your own. Overnight.
Day 2 (Lisbon)
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Morning city sightseeing featuring the Marquês de Pombal square, Liberdade avenue, D. Pedro Square IV square (Rossio) and Commerce square. Stop to visit the quaint Alfama quarter of the city and on to the historical Belém district, where you can visit the Tower of Belém, the Monument to the Discoveries, the Jerónimos Monastery – a gem of stone lace work – and then return to your hotel. Afternoon free. You may like to take an optional tour to the nearby resort areas of Estoril, Cascais, visit the National Palace of Sintra or, in the evening, enjoy a typical night tour including dinner in a Fado House. Overnight.
Day 3 (Lisbon – Fatima – Coimbra)
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. North today to Óbidos, a white medieval walled city. Then to the fishing village of Nazaré for a brief visit before continuing to Batalha to visit to its Santa Maria da Vitória Monastery, a Gothic masterpiece considered World Heritage by UNESCO. Proceed to Fátima to visit to this world famous site of pilgrimage. Finally, travel on to Coimbra, stopping on the way for a visit to the Roman ruins of Conimbriga. Arrival in Coimbra for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 (Coimbra – Oporto)
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Departure for a morning city sightseeing tour featuring Coimbra’s old University and Library, Romanesque Cathedral and the Santa Clara Convent. Continuation to Oporto passing through the forest of Buçaco and the city of Aveiro, famous for its canals, giving it the nickname of the "Portuguese Venice". Arrival to Oporto for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 (Oporto)
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Oporto, the second largest city in Portugal, considered World Heritage by UNESCO, invites us for a morning visit to discover the riverside area, old houses and monuments, namely the Old Cathedral, St. Francis Church, the Stock Exchange Palace and then on to the Southern bank for a visit to the Port Wine cellars. Afternoon free. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6 (Oporto – Guimarães – Braga – Oporto)
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Travel today to Minho region, a Portugal Northwestern province, including Guimarães, birthplace of the nation, and a visit to the Palace of Duques de Bragança, and then on to Braga. Visit of this important religious centre, to see the Cathedral (Sé) and visit to the sanctuary of Bom Jesus de Braga with its monumental Baroque staircase. Luxuriant greenery surrounds us as we pass Barcelos. Return to Oporto for dinner and overnight.
Day 7 (Oporto – Amarante – Viseu – Urgeiriça)
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Travel through a landscape speckled with granite houses and crossing the vineyards of Douro region, towards Amarante and Vila Real. Stop and visit Mateus Manor. Continue to Lamego for a short visit, and Viseu, a city of warriors and painters. Arrival to Urgeiriça for a one night stay. Dinner and overnight.
Day 8 (Urgeiriça – Èvora)
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Drive to the heart of Portugal through the Estrela mountain range, the highest point in the country, famous for its cheese and its harsh and irregular landscape. Continue to Évora via Castelo Branco, including a panoramic visits of the Bishop Palace Gardens and the city of Estremoz – well known for its beautiful marble. Arrival in Évora for one night stay. Dinner and overnight.
Day 9 (Évora – Lisbon)
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Morning city sightseeing featuring Giraldo Square, St. Francis Church with its beautiful but eerie Bones Chapel, the Gothic Cathedral from the XII and XIII centuries and the Roman temple. In the afternoon, departure towards Lisbon through Palmela with a visit of the castle, then on the highway crossing the bridge over Tagus river. Arrival to Lisbon, for a one night stay. Overnight.
Day 10 (Lisbon)
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Depending on your flight schedule, morning free for shopping before your transfer to the airport for flight out of Portugal.
