Day 01 Australia/Beijing
Depart from Australia to Beijing. Upon arrival Beijing, You will be greeted by our guide and transferred to Grand Hyatt or similar 5 star hotels.
Day 02 Beijing
Tour starts around 11am, starting with Beihai Park, which is one of the most popular parks in the city of Beijing. Enjoying the Imperial cuisine at Fangshan Restaurant at Beihai Park . Afternoon, You will visit the Tian’anmen Square, the biggest public square in the world and Forbidden City, the vast complex of palaces, which was home to successive Emperors for more than 500 years. Included is admission to the living quarters, museum and jewelry sections. For dinner enjoy a traditional Beijing Duck banquet. (B/L/D)
Day 03 Beijing
Morning tour to the Great Wall, stretching almost 4,000 miles from the Pacific Ocean to the sands of Central Asia and befittingly crowned one of the ten wonders of the world. Continue to the Summer Palace, the largest and the best preserved of all imperial palace gardens, which boasts such delights as the famous Marble Boat and the ornately painted ‘Long Corridor’, then on to Beijing Zoo to see the lovely pandas.. After dinner, acrobatic show and relaxation massage. (B/L/D)
Day 04 Beijing
In the morning, visit the Temple of Heaven, the 500 year old Temple houses altars on which sacrifices and offerings were laid to the gods in a glorious setting of gardens, tress and sculptures. In the afternoon, enjoy a pedi-cab tour of Hutong , the ‘old city’ neighbourhoods of narrow alleyways and courtyard gardens, visit to Prince Gong’s Palace and the Drum Tower. Later board a traditional Chinese sculled cruise on Houhai Lake; you will enjoy the beautiful scenery while listening to Chinese music played by the local musician on board. Dinner at your own arrangement. (B/L)
Day 05 Beijing/Xian
Morning at leisure. Afternoon transfer to the airport for a flight to Xian. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to Shangri-la or similar 5 star hotels. After dinner, you will enjoy a traditional Tang Dynasty show. (B/DS)
Day 06 Xian
Morning tour to the greatest archaeological discovery of the century, more than 2,000 year-old Terracotta Warriors interred with the Emperor Qin Shi Huang. Afternoon take tours to Huaqing Hot Spring Park, where the emperor had his bath with his concubines or to Banpo Museum, where built on Banpo Neolithic remains village which dates back to 6,000 years ago. Day 07 Xian/Chongqing
Visit to The Shanxi History Museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Old City Wall, which was constructed 600 years ago. Later transfer to the airport and fly to Chongqing. (B)
Day 08 Chongqing/Dazu/Chongqing
Day excursion to Dazu to view some of the most fascinating rock carvings in the world. Dazu, a small county, located in the southeast of Sichuan Province, is 163 kilometers away from Chongqing. When getting back to Chongqing, then pre-board your cruiser for Yangtze River cruise tour after dinner. (B/L/D)
Day 09 Yangtze River Cruise
Start your spectacular cruise along the mighty Yangtze River. Relax on deck or in the lounge, enjoying the beautiful scenery of the magnificent Three Gorges. Sailing downstream, view the Qutang, Wu and Xiling Gorges, and enjoy a side trip up Shennong Stream. Shore excursions include Fengdu, the “Ghost City". (B/L/D)
Day 10 Yangtze River Cruise
Enjoy your cruise along the river today. (B/L/D)
Day 11 Yichang/Lhasa
Disembark at Yichang. After short city tour, transfer to airport for your flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival you are met and transferred to your hotel , 100km distance taking 1.5 hours to city. (B/L/D)
Day 12 Lhasa
Sightseeing in Lhasa at Potala Palace in the morning and tour at Jorkhang Temple, Barkhore Street in the afternoon. Dinner is Tibetan food with Tibetan folk singing and dancing. (B/L/D)
Day 13 Lhasa/Tsedang
Tour to Tsedang (about 220km, 3 hours drive), the motherland and original of Tibetan culture. Visit the first palace in Tibet, Yombulakang, the first farmland and Changzu Temple (also called the Pearl Monastery). Overnight in Tsedang Hotel. (B/L/D)
Day 14 Tsedang
Visiting Samye, the first monastery in Tibet after taking the wooden skiff powered by a tractor enjine crossing Yaluzhangbu River. Here you can enjoy the historical site of Tibetan Buddhism and study the difference on architecture between Tibetan, Chinese and Indian Monastery. (B/L/D)
Day 15 Tsedang/Gyantse
Drive 350km with almost sparry road condition via Yomdrok Lake to Gyantse, a well-known Tibetan cultural town in south west of Tibet. On the way to Gyantse, you will cross two big passes, Gangbula and Karula, and the most wonderful scenic spot is the holy lake, Yomdrok Lake, with the covering of 880 square kilometers. An instant food always be arranged for lunch. You can arrive Gyantse around 16:00, check in Gyantse Hotel. (B/L/D)
Day 16 Gyantse/Shigatse
Gyantse is well known by the Kumbu Monastery and the Ruins of Zhongshan, Gyantse is also called Hero Town for defence the British invading in 1904. The murals in Kumbu Monastery is regarded as the world artist treasure. On visiting Zhongshan Ruins you can find the feature view of the old county in Tibet. After launch in Gyantse, another 2 hours driving at the distance of 95km to Shigatse, Check in Shigatse Hotel. (B/L/D)
Day 17 Shigatse
Shigatse is the second largest city in Tibet, it’s well known by the typical west Tibetan custom and culture. The monastery, Tashilunpo is the residence of Banchan of all ages and one of major monasteries of the yellow sect with the world’s largest bronze statute built in 1904, Qianba Buddha. The program in Shigatse covers Tashilunpo Monastery, the New Palace of Banchan Lama and the local free Market with rich of Tibetan handmade crafts. (B/L/D)
Day 18 Shigatse/Lhasa
Drive 5 hours along Yaluzhangbu River at the distance of 286km back to Lhasa. The road is paved way and you can enjoy the nature landscape of Yaluzhanbu River. (B/L/D)
Day 19 Lhasa/Shanghai
Morning at leisure. Fly to Chengdu in the afternoon, and get your connection flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, transfer to Radisson New World or similar 5 star hotels. In the evening, visit the Shanghai Xintiandi, which is a new tourist attraction in downtown Shanghai, featuring the city’s unique “Shikumen" houses and a maze of narrow alleys, which have been converted into specialist F & B, retail, entertainment and cultural facilities.(B /D )
Day 20 Shanghai
Morning tour to the Bund, a popular promenade along the Huangpu River, where the old meets the modern in Shanghai, then to the Old Town with its winding alleyways, lined with shops, tea houses and restaurants, and to the elegant and tranquil Yu Garden. Evening at leisure. (B/L)
Day 21 Shanghai/Suzhou/Shanghai
In the morning, drive to Suzhou. You will visit the Lingering Garden, Tiger Hill, and Silk Spinning Factory. If time permits, we will take a short cruise on the Grand Canal dug 1,000 year ago in Sui Dynasty. Late afternoon, continue our ride by coach to metropolitan Shanghai. Relaxation massage before or after dinner. (B/L/D)
Day 22 Shanghai/Australia
At leisure before transfer to the airport for your flight back to Australia. (B)
