The site of the Evason Hideaway at Zighy Bay, in the Sultanate of Oman, is a secluded fishing village on the Sultanate's northern Musandam Peninsula. It is designed with 82 pool villas and pool villa suites and with a private marina. The setting is quite dramatic, with mountains on one side and a 1.6 kilometer sandy beach at Zighy Bay, on the other.

Guests will have a choice of three arrival experiences: A scenic ten-minute speed boat trip, a drive down from the top of the hill overlooking the bay, or choose to travel as a companion passenger with the Hideaway's professional paraglider!

Types of Accommodations

Pool Villas are characterized by a private infinity-edged pool, a summer house and direct beach access. These villas present a studio design concept, offering sleeping and living areas and indoor and outdoor showers. Size: 247 sq.m.

Spa Pool Villas are highlighted with a personal in-villa Spa in which guests can enjoy Six Senses Spa treatments by skilled therapists, within the privacy of their own villas. All villas have their own infinity-edged private pool and a summer house. They present a studio concept, offering sleeping and living areas. Size: 247 sq.m.

Pool Villa Suites offer generous personal space, an infinity-edged private pool and a summer house. Their beachfront location affords either beach or poolside lounging and dips, or retire to the refreshing summer house Villa Suites offer a separate living room and bedroom. The bathroom also includes indoor and outdoor showers. Size: 412 sq.m.

Spa Pool Villa Suites offer both the privacy of your own in-villa spa and a spacious personal environment. Guests may enjoy Six Senses Spa treatments and pampering in the privacy of their suite villas. Spa pool Villa Suites are single-storey villas with a separate living room and bedroom. Size: 412 sq.m.

Deluxe Pool Villas are designed with the bedroom on the lower level and the living area on the upper level. They have a private infinity-edge pool, summer house, beach access and a view of the stunning mountain fjords that rise above the azure blue waters of the bay. The villa also includes indoor and outdoor showers. Size: 334 sq.m.

Deluxe Spa Pool Villas Enjoy in-villa Six Senses Spa treatments in the deluxe villa's own luxurious personal spa space. Bathrooms feature indoor and outdoor showers, and villas have private infinity-edged pool and a summer house. Size : 334 sq.m.

Zighy Pool Villas offer two separate levels with 1 bedroom and the living room on the lower level and a verandah and a second bedroom on the upper level. They present a great combination of personal space and spectacular views. These also include a private infinity-edged pool and a summer house. Size: 437 sq.m.

Zighy Spa Pool Villas have generous personal space spread over two levels, a great view of the stunning mountain fjords that rise above the azure blue waters of the bay, and also direct access to the beach. Six Senses Spa

Designed and constructed to reflect the typical Omani style and aesthetic traditions of the region, the Six Senses Spa at Evason Hideaway at Zighy Bay is an oasis on the bay. The entrance to the spa is a grotto-style tunnel whereby guests walk on stepping stones set on water to arrive at the spa reception. The reception area is relatively large with wall niches and low lighting creating a mystic quality. Reflecting the Evason Hideaway’s style, the spa walls and floors are of local stone with a typical Omani flat beamed roof.

The spa’s wide-ranging menu of regional and Six Senses signature treatments focuses on holistic and pampering therapies using natural and environmentally friendly products. Treatments are administered by skilled international therapists and specialist practitioners who combine Eastern and Western techniques.

The Six Senses Spa has nine treatment rooms, three of which have outdoor showers, baths and relaxation areas. All treatment rooms have day beds built into wall recesses and mountain views. Each room includes a steam shower with garden views.

Two Arabian-style hammams are signature features of the spa. Designed for the traditional practice of splashing water and relaxation rooms for a head, feet or light body massage after the hammam experience. Connectivity between treatment rooms and the hammam is designed to provide coordinated treatment experiences in two different environments.

The male and female changing rooms have sauna, steam and ice room, private changing areas, showers, individual lockers, and a large relaxation area where guests can enjoy reading while sipping fresh juice or Six Senses Spas signature ginger tea. Additionally, corridors joining the treatment rooms and changing rooms have wall niches displaying crystal clusters.

The Six Senses Spa shop, with its exclusive products, is to one side of reception. A cave style consultation and treatment area, plus a 90sqm gym with state of the art equipment are also located here. A juice bar, built in a traditional Oman mud design, serves guests from the gym and the treatment rooms.

The treatment and more private areas of the spa have separate entrances for men and women. They face toward the mountains rather than the ocean, allowing maximum privacy. Entrance to each facility is through a separate majlis serving local teas, fruit and refreshments in a relaxing environment. Both the female and male majlis offer views of the garden with the benefits of the warm Omani sun.

The resort also offers eleven private Spa Suites incorporated into Pool Villas, which have a separate treatment room for couples or individuals. Some of these treatment rooms offer ocean views and all have steam showers.

How to get there

Transfer from Dubai Airport – United Arab Emirates (UAE – Approx. 90 Minutes) The Musandam Peninsula is an exclave region of the Sultanate of Oman, separated from the rest of the country by the United Arab Emirates. Zighy Bay is located 120 km, or approximately 90 minutes drive from Dubai International Airport, which is the gateway city to Evason Hideaway. A UAE visa can be obtained by most nationalities on arrival to Dubai Airport. However, there are certain nationalities that will need to arrange prior to their arrival. Visitors who have entered Dubai do not need an Omani Visa to visit the Musandam Peninsula region.

Transfer from Muscat (Seeb International ) Airport- OMAN (Approx 5 hours) – From the airport you will travel north west along Al Batinah highway passing through over 500 kilometres of picturesque Omani land and views beyond the Gulf of Oman, before arriving to Zighy Bay. An Oman visa can be obtained by most nationalities on arrival to Seeb Airport. However, there are certain nationalities that will need to arrange prior to their arrival.

Once at Zighy Bay, guests will have a choice of three arrival experiences: A scenic fifteen-minute speed boat trip, a 4WD voyage over the Hajar Mountains over looking the resort, or choose to travel as a companion passenger with the Hideaway's professional paraglider!
