The tour starts in Vienna, then visits Salzburg, Villach and Innsbruck. Additional highlights include visits to the Royal Castles in Bavaria, the Passion Play village of Oberammergau and the Swarovski Crytsal World in Wattens.
OKTOBERFEST & CHARMING AUSTRIA $1781-00pp 08 – 24 Sep This tour starts in Vienna with sightseeing that includes the imperial palace of Schoenbrunn. En-route the tour visits Krems, Melk, Salzburg and ends in Munich for one of the greatest festivals in Europe. We have included a dinner and 1 litre stein of beer at the infamous Hofbrau beer tent.
OKTOBERFEST & EASTERN HIGHLIGHTS $1947-00pp 05 Sep – 01 Oct Berlin is now emerging as one of the great cities of Europe. Since the wall came down in 1989 and the establishment of a "unified" Germany, billions of dollars have been spent renovating the old section of former "east" Berlin. Our tour here includes all the major rebuilding projects that have been completed or are still under construction. The tour also visits Dresden, then Prague in the Czech Republic, and ends in Munich for festivities at the Oktoberfest.
ROMANTIC GERMANY & AUSTRIA $1487-00pp 27 Nov – 03 Dec This is the first of our Christmas Market tours for 2004. Starting in Frankfurt, the tour visits the medieval town of Rothenburg, renowned for it’s famous "Kaethe Wohlfart Christmas Shop". Then we visit Nurnberg which has the largest Christmas Market in Europe, before continuing to Munich for it’s colourful markets, and to Innsbruck. Highlights include a visit to the Royal Castles of Bavaria, a dinner and stein of beer in the Hofbrauhaus in Munich and the Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens.
MAGICAL AUSTRIA $1355-00pp 27 Nov – 3 Dec Vienna is known as the "Imperial City’ and is a great place to start a tour. Sightseeing here includes the Palace of Schoenbrunn with a guided tour. We then travel to Salzburg, and visit the Silent Night Chapel in nearby Oberndorf, as well as the historical sights in the Old Town. The tour ends in Innsbruck, with the Christmas Markets, a visit to Swarovski Crystal Worlds, and a special Advent Concert performance.
CLASSIC GERMANY & CZECH REPUBLIC $1583-00pp 04 – 12 Dec Starting in the great city of Berlin, this tour takes in all the historical sights of "before" and "after" the Berlin Wall. Highlights also include a visit to Potsdam, with the New Palais and Sanssouci Palace. Then it’s on to the city of Dresden, annihilated in World War II by allied bombing. Next stop is Prague – now known as the "Paris of the East". Plenty of time for shopping and exploring here before the tour ends.
