If Mother Nature has amply blessed the Polynesian islands, she has been particularly generous with our isle, Motu Toopua.  It is here, in the middle of Bora Bora’s majestic lagoon, that we have created the ultimate Polynesian destination.

Entertainment
Our highly popular Theme Night Buffets allow you to indulge in the exotic and romantic pleasure of dining under the stars. Most often accompanied by spectacular local entertainment, these occasions are not to be missed. The buffets and shows take place every Monday, Thursday and Saturday nights.

On Monday nights, hotel guests are invited to the Manager’s cocktail reception, held from 6 pm to 7 pm at the Hiro Bar.  This is the occasion to meet with all the resort’s team and to appreciate a tasty cocktail or glass of champagne and canapes overlooking the infinity pool.  A black pearl fashion defile is also held during the cocktail reception.

Thursday we offer the Tahitian buffet and traditional dances.  Saturday, Otemanu Restaurant offers a fabulous buffet of the best lagoon seafood as well as grilled meats, salads, etc.  The buffet is followed by the famous Fire Dance show.

The Tahitian Buffet and Show
If the weather permits, guests are seated outdoors on the terrace of the Otemanu Restaurant, with a fantastic view of Otemanu Mountain.

Each show is an hour-long spectacle of exquisite singing and exotic, rhythmic dances. These include the tamure, a very fast dance accompanied by frenzied drum beats, and the aparima, where the women perform soft, gentle hand-dances, each movement telling a story.

During high season, Otemanu restaurant offers every Saturday night a terrifying and magnificent fire-dance, fearlessly performed by a male trio effortlessly wielding huge wheels of fire. The buffet features typical Tahitian dishes and local produce.  For Saturday’s Special buffet night, fish is generously featured.
