Day 1 (MADRID – MERIDA – CORDOBA)
Departure from the bus terminal at 0800 hrs towards the Region of Extremadura. It is from here that the famous 'conquistadores', Pizarro and Cortez ventured out to the New World. Lunch in Merida, centre of the Roman province of Lusitania and a visit to the impressive Roman ruin. Continue on to the delightful southern city of Cordoba. An ancient Roman city, Cordoba was an important provincial Capital, but gained its real reputation in culture, being the most important caliphate in the occident, with a University, fabulous libraries and sumptuous houses. It was captured in 1236 by the Christians. Dinner and accommodation at Hotel Tryp Los Gallos 3* or Hotel Occidental Córdoba 4*.

Day 2 (CORDOBA – SEVILLA)
Breakfast and tour of Cordoba. Cordoba lies on a sharp bend in the Rio Guadalquivir which is spanned by a Roman bridge linking the 14th century Torre de la Calahorra and the old town. Departure for Seville. Seville, capital of 'Andalucia', the most southern region of the Spanish peninsula. There is a true energy exuded by this city that affects all who visit her, with her charming, tiny cobbled streets and her beautiful, colourfully tiled patios of the private homes in the old Barrio de Santa Cruz quarter, which can be seen through the intricate wrought iron lacework of the entrance portals. Lunch. Free afternoon. Accommodation at Hotel Derby/America 3* or Hotel Melia Lebreros 4*.

Day 3 (SEVILLA)
Half Board. Morning visit of this charming southern capital. This morning enjoy a visit of this stunning city including the Cathedral which actually occupies the site of a great Mosque built by the Almohads in the late 12th century. Afternoon at leisure. Accommodation at Hotel Derby/America 3* or Hotel Melia Lebreros 4*.

Day 4 (SEVILLA – RONDA – COSTA DEL SOL)
Breakfast. Departure today along the 'Route of the White-Washed Villages' to Ronda. Free time to explore this beautiful town. Its main feature is the immense Tajo or Chasm – a geological cleft in the rock that plunges about 100m deep and separates the old part of the city from the new. Then travel to Benalmadena on the Costa del Sol for afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Hotel San Fermin 3* or Hotel Alay 4*.

Day 5 (COSTA DEL SOL – GRANADA)
Breakfast and departure for Granada, which was once the grandest of all Moorish cities. City tour visiting the world famous Alhambra Palace with its beautiful Nazari Palaces and the Generalife. Dinner and accommodation at Hotel Los Angeles 3* or Hotel Corona 4*.

Day 6 (GRANADA – VALENCIA)
Breakfast. Departure via Guadix, Baza and Puerto Lumbreros towards the Mediterranean coast to finally arrive in Valencia. Afternoon at leisure to see all that Valencia has to offer. Valencia was a crossroad of Greeks, and other civilisations but it was the Romans who founded this city in the 2nd century. Accommodation at Hotel Expo Valencia 3* or Hotel Melia Rey D. Jaime 4*.

Day 7 (VALENCIA – BARCELONA)
Breakfast. Morning at leisure to continue exploring Valencia. Don't miss the central market – an Art Nouveau building opened in 1928, and thought to be one of the largest and most attractive markets in Europe and the buildings surrounding the Plaza Mayor including the Lonja – an equisite Late Gothic hall built between 1482 and 1498 as a commodities exchange. Continue at mid-morning on to the second city of Spain – Barcelona. Barcelona is best known for its many buildings in the Eixample left by the artistic explosion of Modernisme in the decades around 1900. Accommodation at Hotel Park Putxet 4* or Hotel Catalonia Suite 4*.

Day 8 (BARCELONA)
Breakfast. This morning you will have a City Tour. Spain's second city and capital of the region of Catalunya. A walk along Barcelona's most famous boulevard 'Las Ramblas' which is especially lively in the evening, allows you to take in its palatial buildings, shops, cafes and street vendors. Afternoon at leisure. Accommodation at Hotel Park Putxet 4* or Hotel Catalonia Suite 4*.

Day 9 (BARCELONA – ZARAGOZA – MADRID)
Breakfast and departure through Lerida and Zaragoza to Madrid. Arrival and end of tour.
