Day 1: Your London tour begins with a private cruise
Tauck's Paris and London tour departs at 11:00 AM from London's Heathrow Airport. Upon arrival in London tour the city briefly and see landmark sites such as Trafalgar Square, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. A special Tauck touch is a welcome reception and dinner cruise aboard a private boat on the River Thames! Your luxury 5-star hotel for the next four nights is ideally situated in the center of London.

Day 2: Windsor Castle and Westminster Abbey
Travel to Windsor Castle, home of the British royal family for over 900 years. See St. George’s Chapel, one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in England; Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House, an exquisite miniature palace; and the Baroque State Apartments (if available). Upon your return, take a guided London tour that includes Westminster Abbey; view the extraordinary medieval architecture and art collection. You can pursue your own interests in London for the remainder of the day.

Day 3: Tower of London, the London Eye, high tea & the theatre
On your third day in London tour the Tower of London to see the British Crown Jewels, followed by a completely different view of the city when you soar 450 feet above it on the world’s highest observation wheel, the British Airways London Eye. Enjoy one of England’s great pleasures, a traditional afternoon tea, prior to attending a theatre performance of The Sound of Music in the West End. Day 4: Antiquities at the British Museum

Spend your free afternoon in London pursuing your own interests, whether they are visiting famed gardens, museums, or historic sites.

Day 5: London tour ends with the first class Eurostar train to Paris
From London tour the pleasures of Paris! Travel first class aboard Eurostar, a high-speed train which makes the London-to-Paris journey in just a few hours, crossing under the English Channel. View landmark attractions in Paris, and enjoy dinner at a Parisian restaurant boasting great views.

Day 6: Versailles & Montmartre
Take in King Louis XIV’s extravagant 17th-century palace, Château de Versailles. See the ornate State Apartments decorated with gold and marble, and exquisite formal gardens. Meet the granddaughter of Gaston Leroux, author of The Phantom of the Opera, over lunch at a Parisian restaurant. Explore the winding streets of Montmartre, made famous by artists, poets, and the Moulin Rouge cabaret.

Day 7: Mona Lisa at Musée du Louvre – and a Seine dinner cruise

French Impressionist paintings are among the most popular of the vast collections. Pursue your own passions in Paris in the afternoon.
