Nov 6 Sydney – Beijing
Depart Sydney by MU566 150/1910
Nov 7 Beijing (B/L/D)*
Arrive Beijing in the morning, be met by Legend Asia tour guide at the airport and transferred to the hotel. Afternoon tour to the Summer Palace, former summer resort of China’s Emperors. Then visit the silk carpet factory. Enjoy the famous Peking Duck dinner. After dinner, you will be transferred back to the hotel for your free time.
Nov 8 Beijing (B/L/D)*
The highlight today is a trip to the astonishing Great Wall at Juyonguan Pass. Later visit the Sacred Path of Ming Tombs. 13 of the 16 Ming Emperors have their tombs here. Visit the Cloisonne Factory and the biggest Jade Exhibition Center in Asia, followed by a tricycle tour to the historic Hutongs and Alleys of Beijing old town. Enjoy the famous acrobatic show in the evening.
Nov 9 Beijing (B/L)*
Start your city tour with a visit to the Forbidden City. Next stop is the Tiananmen Square, the largest public square in the world. Then tour to the Temple of Heaven, which was used to offer sacrifices to heaven and pray for good harvest in ancient times.
Nov 10 Beijing – Xian (B/L/D)*
Fly to Xian in the morning. Upon arrival, visit the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses, guardians of the tomb of China’s first emperor. Enjoy the Dumpling Banquet dinner and Tang Dynasty Singing &
Dancing Show in the evening.
Nov 11 Xian (B/L/D)*
Visit the Shaanxi Provincial History Museum in the morning. After lunch, visit the Ancient City Wall. Then tour to the Large Wild Goose Pagoda, built to house and protect Buddhist scriptures collected by the Chinese monk Xuan Zang. End the day with a visit to the Porcelain Terra Cotta Warriors Factory.
Nov 12 Xian – Wuhan – Yichang – Three Gorges (B/L/D)*
Fly to Wuhan in the morning, and then visit Yellow Crane Pavilion. Enjoy a bird’s eye view of Wuhan City and the Yangtze River. Then be transferred by coach to Yichang. After dinner, board the 5 star deluxe"East King" Yangtze Cruise and start your venture on the Yangtze River.
Nov 13 Three Gorges (B/L/D)*
The cruiser sails downstream. Shore excursion to Fengdu New City (Ghost City) where the locals pray for a good afterlife and re-incarnation in their next life.
Nov 14 Three Gorges (B/L/D)*
Today the cruiser will sail into the Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge. Although Qutang Gorge is the smallest among the Three Gorges, it is the most powerful one. The Wu Gorge boasts the most beautiful and spectacular scenery of the Three Gorges. Transfer to smaller boats to see the Shennongxi Stream. Sail into Xiling Gorge which is full of turbulent currents, whirlpools and dangerous shoals. The cruiser will pass the ship lock of the Three Gorges Dam arriving Sandouping in the evening.
Nov 15 Three Gorges (B/L/D)*
Shore excursion in the morning to the Three Gorges Dam, the largest project of China. Then the cruiser will pass the ship-lock of the Gezhou Dam at noon.
Nov 16 Three Gorges – Chongqing – Hangzhou (B/L/D)*
The cruiser arrives at Chongqing at noon. Enjoy a hot pot lunch before being transferred to the airport for your flight to Hangzhou.
Nov 17 Hangzhou – Suzhou (B/L/D)*
Hangzhou is a city with a rich history and culture, which Marco Polo described as “the most beautiful and magnificent city in the world". Boat cruise on the West Lake. Visit the Yellow Dragon Cave, taste the well-known Dragon Well Tea at the No.1 tea plantation. Coach to Suzhou in the afternoon.
Nov 18 Suzhou – Shanghai (B/L/D)*
Suzhou is known as the “Paradise on the Earth". Our sightseeing includes the Tiger Hill, Garden of the Master of the Nets and boat cruise on the Grand Canal. Coach transfer to Shanghai to enjoy the Silk Fashion Show. After dinner, you may take optional Huangpu River night cruise at your own expense (AUD25 per person).
Nov 19 Shanghai (B/L)*
Visit the Yuyuan Garden, Old City Temple and walk along the Bund (Wai Tan) waterfront area. Afternoon at leisure.
Nov 20 Shanghai – Sydney (B)*
Morning at leisure. Legend Asia tour guide will transfer your to the airport for your flight to Sydney.
