Australia’s first in-airport hotel, Aerotel, opened in Sydney Airport on Tuesday the 2nd of August 2022.
This contemporary hotel was developed by airport hospitality veterans Plaza Premium Group (PPG) and is situated within the T1 International terminal arrivals hall, featuring 15 solo and double rooms which offer passengers the added flexibility of booking rooms by the hour.
This is a great opportunity for passengers to have a restful night’s sleep and full buffet breakfast before walking upstairs to check-in to their flight, while travellers touching down in Sydney can refresh with a shower, snack and a sleep before making their onward journey.
Rooms feature private bathrooms, showers and personal amenities as well as complimentary wi-fi. The lounge area provides the perfect spot to enjoy light refreshments, salads, sandwiches and hot meals with a comprehensive beverage selection of freshly ground coffee, tea, soft drinks, juices, beer, wine and spirits.
Aerotel Sydney Airport is a book-by-hour accommodation concept but it seems that the minimum stay is three hours. Rates start from $71 for three hours stay. Online bookings must be made at least one hour prior to arrival.
