SWISS Takes Privacy to New Heights with the All-New First Grand Suite

A new level of luxury has arrived in the skies: Swiss has unveiled a three-passenger first class “super suite." The new First Grand Suite is designed to replicate the privacy and exclusivity of a private jet.

As business class continues to evolve with enclosed suites, sliding doors, massive 4K screens, and other premium touches, airlines are also raising the bar for first class travelers. One common innovation has been the “double suite," allowing two passengers to share a larger, combined space.

Singapore Airlines was the trailblazer here nearly two decades ago with its Airbus A380, where the center suites could be joined together to form a double bed. More recently, Lufthansa introduced its Allegris first class suites – also adopted by Swiss – featuring an oversized Suite Plus in the center, available for one or two flyers.

Swiss is now expanding on that concept with the First Grand Suite, set to debut in January 2026 on its Airbus A350s, followed later by the Boeing 777-9 fleet. This configuration merges a central double suite with an adjoining window suite, closing off the aisle between them to create a private three-person enclave. The design offers zones for work, dining, and relaxation, giving passengers control of their experience.

According to Swiss, the area is “reserved solely for you and your companions," ensuring full privacy and exclusive access. Guests can use the spacious middle suite for meetings, work, or socializing, while the side suite by the window becomes a retreat for rest and relaxation.

Couples may choose to dine together in one suite while keeping the other for sleeping, and families can enjoy the extra room to spread out. As Chief Commercial Officer Heike Birlenbach describes it, the suite feels like “a loft in the sky" – a versatile space to unwind, work, or simply indulge in the journey.

Targeted at Swiss’ most premium clientele seeking maximum privacy, the First Grand Suite won’t be bookable online. Instead, reservations must go through the Swiss First Hotline concierge. Pricing reflects its exclusivity: fares are expected to average around three times the standard first class ticket.
