Semarang

The Capital of Central Java, Indonesia and is situated on the northern coast with a major giant port in the center of the region. It is home to a large Chinese population that has influenced the local’s life which is evident in the city’s culture and cuisine. The inner city has many old buildings dating back to the Dutch colonial period. A building to visit is the oldest church in Central Java, Blenduk established in 1753. Many other buildings in the city are important to historical events. The city is having many updates and when complete will no doubt become the focus of a visit for most travelers.
