We attended the annual International Luxury Travel Market held in Shanghai at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre early June.
The Shanghai Exhibition Centre is an exhibition and convention centre and major landmark located in central Shanghai, China. The building was built in 1955 as the Sino-Soviet Friendship Building to commemorate the alliance between China and the Soviet Union, a name by which many locals still refer to the building. Reflecting its original name, the design draws heavily on Russian and Empire style neoclassical architecture with Stalinist neoclassical innovations.
The organiser arranged accommodation for the VIP buyers at some of the best hotels in Shanghai, such as Ritz-Carlton Portman, Jing An Shangri-la and Puli which are within walking distance to the Centre, as well as Peninsula, Fairmont Peace Hotel at the bund. Some of these hotels arranged amazing parties for the participants.

Its also an interesting trip to visit some of the old towns near Shanghai which showcases the typical ancient towns with Jiangnan Water Town, Zhou Zhuang, XiTang, Zhujiajiao are some of bigger ones. The closest one is ZhaoJiaLou, relatively small.
