Melbourne Airport aims to begin work on its new T4 domestic terminal in October this year with a planned completion and opening date set for July 2014.
The extensive 21 month project will cost an estimated $300m and will also include a new multi-level car park, improved approach roads to the airport, new baggage facilities, additional aircraft gates, parking aprons and taxi lanes.
Virgin Australia’s home at T3 will also be extended and given a much-needed refresh to take into account the anticipated growth of Virgin Australia’s business in Melbourne.
