Lufthansa has launched Airbus A380 flights to Houston. The inaugural flight LH440 departed Frankfurt at 10:10 AM on 01Aug12, and arrived at the Texas city’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport at 1:50 PM. Following this first flight, the German carrier will operate daily A380 services on the route marking the first time any airline has flown the A380 to Houston.
Lufthansa’s A380 is configured with 526 seats, including eight of the airline’s new 2.1-metre-long first class flat-bed seats, as well as 98 seats in business class and 420 in economy.
