All guest accommodation includes complimentary WiFi throughout the resort as well as music and sound system, espresso machine, sunbeds and yoga mats, bottled drinking water replenished daily in your room, hairdryer and luxury bathroom amenities, beach bag and flip flops, bicycles and butler service.
Seaplane Transfers
- Seaplane transfers operates only during daylight hours. In order to meet these timelines, your outbound flight must arrive in the Maldives between 6:00am and 3:15pm.
- Seaplane transfer takes 25 minutes from Male International Airport to the resort
- Each guest can carry 20kg of checked in luggage. Any excess of luggage is chargeable at a cost of 5 USD per kg excluding tax
Domestic Transfer
- Guests arriving in Male after 3:15 pm may be transferred only via domestic transfers
- Domestic Flight transfer takes 25 minutes from Male International Airport to the local airport in Baa Atoll Dharavandhoo followed by a 20-minute speedboat transfer from Dharavandhoo Airport to the resort.
Transfer Policy
- International departure flights should be scheduled after 9:00 am to guarantee a same-day departure
- In order to arrange this transfer, we would require your flight arrival time to the Maldives, flight number and full names of all as in their passport by no later than 96 hours before arrival.
- All transfers are subject to tides, weather conditions and Seaplane company’s terms & conditions.
- Vakkaru Maldives is not responsible for any cancellation or delay of flight operation. Seaplane charges will be non-refundable
- Passengers aged 12 years old and above will be considered as adults

About Vakkaru Luxury Resort Maldives
Within the UNESCO BIOSPHERE RESERVE of Baa Atoll in the Republic of the Maldives lies a reef island composed entirely of sediment produced on the surrounding coral “faru” or reefs, 85% it is suggested, by parrotfish, the fish grinding up coral during feeding and, after digesting the edible content, excrete the rest as sand, creating the powder soft, brilliant white sands that encircle the island. A study was published in the journal Geology in 2015 with this interesting fact after having taken samples and surveys on the reefs around Vakkaru island.
