Steeped in history, The House of Turin was built in 1659 then devotedly relocated – stone by stone – in 1907, nestled in twenty acres of private grounds that could be yours to explore. It stands on land gifted by King James to the Oliphant family in recognition of their services to the King during the battle of Stirling Castle. The combination of dramatic, breath-taking views and the grand-yet-homely house provides endless inspiration. This beautiful getaway aside the formalities of hotel and invites guests to completely unwind during their stay, with the option for self-catering or full-catering, as well as a range of options for bespoke dining experiences.

The House of Turin is within easy access of many excellent Highland Shooting Estates, over 100 golf courses, including championship courses such as Carnoustie (20 minutes drive), the iconic St Andrews, Clay Pigeon shooting, Land Rover safaris, Mountain biking, whisky tasting, falconry and of course shopping expeditions to nearby Edinburgh for the shoppers in the group. We are within a short drive of our local Whisky Distillery and a local Distillery now producing Award-winning Potato Vodkas on the lands of Lord Strathmore the laird of the Royal Glamis Castle.
