Experience the ‘Loy Kratong’, also known as the Festival of Lights on November 21, when Thais celebrate the full moon night of the twelfth month of the Thai lunar calendar. ‘Loy’ means ‘to float,’ and ‘Kratong’ refers to the lotus shaped base that floats on the water. Bearing candles and offerings, these lotus-shaped ‘rafts’ are sent floating on the water as a form of respect to the Goddess of Water.
