The Taj Exotica, a luxury leisure resort and Spa, part of the award winning Taj Group of Hotels, is situated in the middle of one of the largest lagoons in maldives – Embondhu Finolhu. Once know as the ‘three coconut island’, this romantic retreat is a haven of relaxation, peace and tranquillity surrounded by clear blue waters and covered with tropical plants and coconut palms.

The resort offers 24 lagoon villas, 31 deluxe lagoon villas, 4 beach villas and 4 deluxe beach villas. The villas are laid out in a style resembling the veins of leaf, with each villa facing outward at the end of a private pier, to ensure privacy to guests. All of the villas are perched on stilts and have private sun decks with sun lounges complete with soft mattresses, water hyacinth cushions, and lanterns lit at night after evening service. Steps lead into the water from the decks.

Whilst most of the villas are on the water, a choice of 4 deluxe beachfront villas are available with private beachfront verandas with sunbeds, hammocks and oversized plunge pools. All villas are fully equipped with mini-bar, satellite television, digital video disc player, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, international dialling, double vanity, bathtubs overlooking the water and, in the beach bungalows, rin showers. 

Start the day with yoga at sunrise and end it with Asia’s premier spa company, “Mandara Spa". The treatments incorporate the use of many principles of holistic health maintenance, herbal and beauty treatments.
