The “Relais Fontana� offers, in a classy atmosphere, the hospitality and the warmth of a home, but at the same time, all the comforts of a high-quality hotel.

The owner of the Bed & Breakfast is a journalist and a tour operator; the Relais is the result of his great experience as a traveller. In his circa 25 years of travels around the world, he has experienced many a stay in the world’s most renown hotels. The hotels were independent or part of international companies, always equipped with every comfort, but where he never felt the intimacy and that welcoming feeling of being “at home�.
The traveller, the more he is far away from his country, the more he longs for a welcoming environment.

The “Relais Fontana� offers, in a classy atmosphere, the hospitality and the warmth of a home, but at the same time, all the comforts of a high-quality hotel.
Many demanding travellers have found the Relais highly satisfying, and this has been proven by the fact that many of them return to the B&B as soon as they have a chance, or they recommended it to their friends and family.
Rome is a fantastic city…staying at the “Relais Fontana� certainly contributes to the pleasantness of the stay.

Located on the first floor of a building from the 1700s and a few steps away from the Trevi fountain.

The apartment that houses the Relais Fontana has been completely renovated during the summer of 2005. There is a fully-equipped kitchen, a small library with books in various languages and a small selection of movies and documentaries in DVD.

The minimum required stay is 3 nights, starting any day of the week.

An extra 15% will be applied for shorter stays (less than 3 nights long), depending on availability. One or two guests only.

  • queen size bed (width: 160 cm)

  • cable broadcast

  • NOTES

  • The kitchen can be used only to heat up pre-cooked foods or milk for children, ice is always available.
  • The guests that will stay for a minimum of 7 nights can use our laundry service, and prices will be arranged depending on the amount of clothes that needs to be washed.
  • Rooms are cleaned on a daily basis, bedclothes and towels, except for particular needs, will be changed every 3 nights.
  • For the guest’s convenience there is a 24/7 system of video surveillance in the common areas of the Relais (corridor and kitchen)
  • The “Relais Fontana" is a smoke-free environment and animals are not permitted
  • Breakfast

  • Breakfast is served in the kitchen, every day, from 8.45 to 10.15 am
  • For the guests staying in the Raffaello suite, breakfast will be served in the room during the same hours
  • ARRIVAL & DEPARATURE TIMES

  • The balance will be paid in cash on the day of the arrival to the check-in agent. The agent will also deliver the house keys and give the tour of the apartment then.
  • The guests are kindly asked to provide a photocopy of their passport to the check-in agent (one per guest).
  • It is not permitted to bring guests in the apartment or rooms unless their passport (or any other valid form of ID) has been registered, or without the owner’s permission.
  • Guests are expected to arrive after 2pm. However, the check-in can be scheduled before 2pm, depending on availability.
  • There is an additional 25 Euro fee in case of arrival after 9pm and a 40 Euro fee for all arrivals after 11pm.
  • The apartment must be vacated at 10am on the day of departure, but the guests can prolong their stay until 1pm if there are no other arrivals scheduled for that day.
  • NOTES: The check in agent will be at the apartment 15 minutes before the scheduled arrival time and, in case of delay, until 45 minutes after the scheduled time. At the end of the 45 minutes the agent will leave the apartment.
    In case of an un-notified delay the agent will come back as soon as possible but an additional 25 Euro fee will be applied, or 40 Euro if after 11pm.
    It is therefore important that the guests call the agency to inform of any unexpected delays, as soon as possible, in order to avoid paying the extra “double check in� fee.
