Accommodation
remote island of Beqa, in Fiji. Just 2.5 hours away from the Nadi Airport or 1 hour from the Suva airport and then a 40-minute boat ride from Pacific Harbour, Lalati Resort welcomes you to its palm-fringed beachfront and tropical gardens.
Overlooking the cerulean blue expanse of Malumu Bay, Lalati Resort and Spa is a very well-planned, environmentally friendly piece of paradise, having minimal effect on the surrounding environs, with an environmentally protective waste retrieval system that honours the local habitat and pristine waters of the Bay.
Built to be a sustainable resort, it features modern composting toilets, biodegradable products, and washwater gardens. Please help us maintain the proper ecological balance of our wash water gardens by using the biodegradable, Pure Fiji products provided in your bure.
All gourmet meals are included in your package. We serve our meals in our open-air dining bure and we are only delighted to cater to any special dietary needs, so please do advise us of the same in advance.
Lalati is a very casual resort, with beach/resort wear being appropriate at all times. Guests who wish to visit the local villages are requested to cover their shoulders and wear a sulu (traditional wrap-around provided to you by the resort) to cover your knees. Laundry services are available. Fax and internet services are available and additional charges apply.
Additional expenses at Lalati would include : bar and beverage charges, non pre-paid scuba diving, scuba rental gear, dive instruction, surfing, game fishing, water skiing, additional mainland transfers, spa treatments at our Spa & Health Centre, laundry and personal items purchased from our boutique. Individual tipping is not customary in Fiji; if you wish to leave a gratuity, you may contribute to the Staff Holiday Fund that is distributed equally to the staff at the end of the year.
Accommodation
Lalati Resort’s five deluxe ocean front bures and two hillside bures are a blend of traditional architecture and western elegance.
Mindfully designed to create a truly tropical ambience along with maximum intimacy and ultimate comfort, each screened, wooden louvered and fan-cooled bure is spacious, peaceful and adorned with all the comforts of a home, making your stay at Lalati, oh so special.
Each deluxe ocean front bure has 2 large bedrooms (accommodation capacity of maximum four persons) with a zip-apart king size bed in the main bedroom a second bedroom with a queen bed. There is a comfortable sitting area, a large beautifully tiled bath and shower area, and an oversized, covered veranda overlooking the sea and just a few feet away from the water’s edge. Each bure has comfortable furniture and a hammock on the veranda, a mini bar and coffee/tea making facilities.
The two hillside bures are set back from the beach among lush tropical gardens. These bures have only one bedroom but still include a comfortable sitting area and verandah. Due to its situation at the resort, not directly on water’s edge, lower nightly rates are offered but rest assured that all the extras are included that make Lalati so special.
Deluxe Beach Bure
Each of our five Deluxe Beach Bures features two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other with a zip-apart king size bed, a sitting area, a large modern bathroom, and a large verandah.
Hillside Bures
Lalati has 2 Hillside Bures named the ‘Bua’ & ‘Vonu’ Bures. Although set back from the beach neither the excellent ocean views nor views of Lalati’s wonderful tropical gardens are sacrificed. The Hillside Bures similarly contains a spacious sitting area, comfortable bedroom, full modern bathroom, and a large verandah. Due to its location in the resort, we offer a lower nightly rate — but with all the extras included that make Lalati special!

Recreation literally means to re-create; to rejuvenate your mind, relax your body and lift your soul. We, at Lalati Resort and Spa, invite you to partake in any of the our tantalizing activities that will help you “re-create your body and soul”.
Complimentary diversions for those seeking a touch of adventure would include world-class snorkelling right out your front door, kayaking in tranquil Malumu Bay, guided hikes to the top of Beqa and village tours to discover life in a remote Fijian Village.. Shore diving in "Jayne’s Lane", right in front of the resort, is a must for those seeking to discover exotic marine habitants like seahorses and ghost pipefish.
Beqa Lagoon, famous for its beautiful coral and diversified marine life, offers uncrowded scuba diving for all levels of divers. Our dive staff is eager to show you all the diversity of this unspoiled diving playground.
Recreational activities with cost would include game fishing, surfing, day trips to Suva, dive courses, wake boarding and water skiing, and golf trips to Pacific Harbour.
Dining
Gourmet food is what sets Lalati apart from the many other resorts in Fiji.
Served in our lofty, Chiefly-styled open-aired Main Bure, around a shared or intimate table, Lalati’s pacific rim cuisine is an eclectic blend of seasonal fruits and vegetables, fresh fish, imported meats and decadent desserts, all of which are served using the freshest of ingredients, with a touch of tropical gourmet flair and the warm bula smile.
Skilfully-seasoned and artfully-prepared and presented by our Fijian chef Beato and his talented staff, lunches might include Pesto Chicken pizza from our brick pizza oven, Fish Tacos with fresh Roti, or Soba Noodles with fresh Wahoo. Dinners range from Seared Ahi with Wasabi Sauce, New Zealand Rack of Lamb or Tuna with Lemon-Caper Sauce.
And what better way to end such extravagancy but to indulge in irresistibly, mouth-watering deserts like chocolate tower, creme caramel and decadent chocolate soufflé or homemade coconut ice creams.
Lunches and dinners are normally a set menu, but Beato and his friendly staff are only too happy to accommodate vegetarian or special dietary requests, so if you have something special on your mind, then please do not hesitate to ask for some palette pampering.
