The Royal Wedding Experience
28th April to 5th May 2011 (Dates are flexible)
Tour consists of 3 nights in London, 2 nights in Chester and 2 nights in Edinburgh
28th April – Arrival
- Arrival into London Heathrow where you’ll be greeted by your Driver & Guide
- Short drive into central London, depending on flight arrival time perhaps take a short visit to either Kensington Palace or Windsor Castle (depending on revised opening times TBC)
- Dinner at your hotel this evening or head-out for a meal at a local restaurant
- Overnight at your London Hotel
29th April – The Royal Wedding
- Champagne breakfast or brunch at your hotel this morning.
- Driver & Guide on hand today as required and dependent on hotel location
- Viewing for the Wedding Parade either along line of procession or special viewing room set up at hotel with refreshments again dependent on hotel location
- Dinner at one of the many fine dining restaurants in London
- Overnight at your London Hotel
30th April – London Sightseeing
- Breakfast at your hotel this morning
- A full day in London with your Driver & Guide
- Include visits to Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral & the Crown Jewels at the Tower of London
- Relaxing lunch at Kensington Palace Orangery
- Pass Clarence House, Buckingham Palace & St James’s Palace. Stopping at St James’s & Mayfair to visit a range of shops that hold the coveted Royal Warrant
- Return to your hotel to freshen up
- Drinks this evening at Mahiki – frequented by William & Kate followed by dinner
- Overnight at your London Hotel
1st May – London to Chester
- Breakfast at your hotel this morning
- Spend the morning at leisure with your driver & guide and visit Notting Hill before heading onto Windsor Castle for the Queens Scout Parade
- Your Driver will then depart with your bags and will drive to Chester (4hr drive)
- After the Scout Parade you’ll take a taxi with your guide to Euston Station in order to catch the train to Chester (2 hrs)
- Greeted by your driver guide and driven out to Llandudno and Bodysgallen Hall or to Caernarfon and Plas Dinas Country House Hotel where you will stay tonight
- Dinner & Overnight at your Hotel

Private tours of many places in London are usually included, but the rules change in and around the wedding due to security. Private Museum tours, Private tour of the houses of parliament and The Tower of London are all possible but subject to changes.
2nd May – Anglesey Sightseeing
- Breakfast at your hotel this morning
- William Wales is a Flight Lieutenant of 22 Squadron based in Anglesey and pilots a yellow Sea King Mk3 helicopter on search and rescue missions – he started at Valley in Jan 2009.
- Visit Caernarfon Castle – where Prince Charles was invested Prince of Wales 1969 (ie where William will be invested) and Beaumaris Castle – a great unfinished masterpiece
- Most royals have some Welsh gold in their wedding rings. Visit Clogau the Welsh jeweller with a shop in Caernarfon.
- Onto The White Eagle pub for lunch – William & Kate regularly visit (William has a weakness for burgers + fries with pints of bitter: Kate prefers fish with salad & white wine)
- We do not know where they live on Anglesey so far, but they live off-base in a remote white-walled farmhouse with access to a private beach and views of Snowdonia
- This afternoon you could take a RIB boat from Caernarfon for a high speed cruise through the Menai Straits (the narrow stretch of water which separates the island of Anglesey from the mainland of Wales) or there are also scenic flights available of the Snowdonia/Anglesey area from Caernarfon Airport
- Dinner at your hotel or one of the local restaurants
- Overnight at your Hotel
3rd May – North Wales to Edinburgh
- Breakfast at your hotel this morning
- Drive to Manchester airport for flight to Edinburgh. Approx 90 minutes from Llandudno. Arrive into Edinburgh early afternoon and you’ll be greeted by your Driver & Guide for an afternoon of sightseeing in Edinburgh to Include The Royal Yacht Britannia, Holyrood Palace & Edinburgh Castle
- Onto The Balmoral Hotel on Princes Street in Edinburgh
- Dinner in the Michelin star Number One Restaurant
- Overnight at the Balmoral
4th May – St Andrews Sightseeing
- Breakfast at The Balmoral this morning
- Your Driver Guide will drive you up to the University town of St Andrews where William & Kate first met whilst studying
- Time to explore St Andrews on foot and perhaps take a tour of the University
- Lunch in St Andrews and then drive to Glamis Castle for a tour of the late Queen Mother’s childhood home
- Return to Edinburgh and enjoy dinner at the Scotch Whisky Society or The Witchery
- Overnight at The Balmoral
5th May – Departure
- Breakfast at The Balmoral this morning
- Your Driver Guide will take you to Edinburgh Airport for your return flight today
