Tinos

Tinos is one of Greece’s holiest places and has some of the most beautiful beaches in the Aegean! Some are quiet and secluded, and others are cosmopolitan with beach bars and water sports! Some of them have fine sand or pebbles, or rocks! Most of the beaches are relatively easy to access, but some may require some walking.
It’s a must-visit destination for religious Greeks and other Orthodox Christians. There are over 1,000 churches in Tinos, and if you explore the island, you will spot hundreds of them.
It is a 30-minute ferry from Mykonos and happens to be experiencing a bit of a renaissance. Often dismissed as “the religious island", a 190-year-old Greek Orthodox church built in honour of the Virgin Mary is one of the island’s most famous sites), Tinos has remained unspoiled by the hordes of tourists that flock out of airports and cruise ships toward other parts of the country.
Tinian traditions, cuisines, and lifestyles invite chefs from all over the country to experiment with local ingredients and flavours.
Tourists on the island also enjoy horseback riding, in-home yoga classes, and hiking on one of the many Tinos Trails, either with a tour guide or on their own. Over 93 miles of trails feel unexplored and undiscovered, and they’re marked well, so you can even traverse solo!
