:: Monaco Cruise
Cannes, France (2 days, Film Festival).
The screenings, the parties, the glamorous appearances on the red carpet. It’s all part of the magic of the Cannes Film Festival. Rub shoulders with glitterati as some of the world’s brightest stars and hottest directors descend upon stylish Cannes. Who knows who you may spot over cocktails tonight. Between festivals and major events, Cannes lives to the beat of the arts year round. For upscale shopping opportunities walk the world famous street, La Croisette, that runs along the shoreline. Visit the traditional French outdoor market, Marche Forville, specialising in quality produce harvested by local farmers. Or just relax and soak up some sun on one of the lovely beaches.
Monte Carlo, Monaco (3 days, Grand Prix).
Enjoy the thrill of a lifetime as screaming Formula One race cars pick their way around the twisted turns and narrow passageways of beautiful Monaco. The last ‘street course’ remaining on the Grand Prix calendar, the 79-lap course offers no margin for error and every chance to be amazed.
Elsewhere in Monaco you will find the Prince’s Palace, from which the Grimaldi dynasty has ruled since 1297; the Cathedral where Grace Kelly married Prince Rainier; and the Rock of Monaco, where magnificent gardens cascade to the sea. Monaco’s famous casinos, nightclubs and cafes will help you cap off a most memorable visit in grand style. And, of course, the city’s sun-drenched beaches and sapphire-blue waters will always be waiting for you.
Monaco Formula One race ticket: Sunday only in the best grandstand in Monte Carlo. Fantastic race viewing from a prime location in Main High Grandstand K. Saturday ticket or Paddock admission available upon request, at additional cost.

You will tender to the pier for a fabulous weekend of excitement at the 64e Grand Prix de Monaco. For the time trials and the Grand Prix itself, a hostess will welcome you at the pier, and provide you with a map and instructions of the routing to Tribune K. At Tribune K, a representative of the Automobile Club of Monaco will be happy to assist you to your seat if needed. Then, you will enjoy the most exciting and famous Formula One race in the entire world. Monaco is a formidable circuit that passes through the heart of the town—the finest and most difficult of the races in the World Championship. Only the most talented drivers win here. And, the Grand Prix in Monaco is a favorite hangout of the world’s most glamorous jet-set. Nowhere in the world will you find such a mix of glitter and glamour. Your seating is located near the pool and you will see cars coming towards you at tremendous speed, slow down for the turn, and then accelerate for making the turn at the pool.
Try to imagine being in the driver’s seat! After the start, driving in a clockwise direction there is a short acceleration period is rapidly followed by a struggle for position as everyone tries to negotiate the right hand Virage St Devote for the first time. Accelerating up the hill from St Devote into Casino Square gives the drivers a chance to shift through the gears, being careful as the road can be bumpy and the white traffic lines are very slippery. They slow down for the tight left and then right through Casino Square and accelerate down hill past the Hotel Metropole, keeping a tight right as they approach the Hotel Mirabeau. Then, it’s forever downward around the 30mph hairpin at the Monte Carlo Grand Hotel, and the sharp right just past the fountains and into the Virage du Portier. Darkness falls in the tunnel, then they break back into the sun at 170mph! The tight left/right of the chicane leads into a short straight and then to the swimming pool complex. Keep on the right line and the driver should have no problems here or at the hairpin of Virage Rascasse. A bad line or trying too hard will finish the race very quickly against the unforgiving trackside barriers. Slightly uphill now, they’re into the very nasty right of Virage Anthony Noghes. If a driver is still on track at this point, it’s full speed ahead, climbing up through the gears to complete the first lap. Now only 77 more laps to go! At the end of this electrifying experience, you will walk with your escort to Place d’Armes where the minibus waits to transfer you back to the tender point.
Please note: The Pillow Gift’s are subject to change or substitution without notice. This package is not wheelchair accessible. Due to heavy traffic congestion, no transfers are provided to Tribune K and/or other events. You must be able to walk up and down various grades. The activity level of this package is considered moderate to easy.
