Cabins
Located on the lower deck – Ocean Class twins feature roomy singles and en-suite. Cabin size is approximately 12 square metres (129 square feet). Other features include 2 portholes, in-cabin entertainment and satellite telephone.
Located on the middle deck – River Class doubles feature a king size double (that can be converted to singles) and en-suite. Cabin size is similar to Explorer Class. Other features include large panoramic windows, in-cabin entertainment and satellite telephone.
Located on the upper deck – Explorer Class staterooms feature a king size double (that can be converted to singles) and a twin basin en-suite. Cabin size is 18 square metres (193 square feet). Other features include large panoramic windows, amenities fridge, in-cabin entertainment and satellite telephone.
Itinerary
First Night
The grand vessel, TRUE NORTH, extends a warm “welcome aboard” in the pearling town of Wyndham. Boarding commences at 5:00 PM, granting ample opportunity to mingle with fellow explorers over a delightful cocktail. The ship is expected to set sail at around 6:30 PM, en route to the King George River. Once on board, a delectable dinner will be served shortly after departure, for the overnight voyage.
Day One
Start your day in the spectacular Kimberley with a delicious breakfast onboard TRUE NORTH. As soon as the tide is high enough, you’ll cross the sand bar at the mouth
of the mighty King George to reveal a breathtaking river vista. Experience the stunning King George River, complete with its jewel in the crown – the magnificent King George Falls. After crossing the sand bars at the mouth, explore the falls and take a helicopter to the top for an even more incredible view. Learn about the history of the area, take a stroll at Tranquil Bay.
Day two
On the second day, witness the ancient “Bradshaws,” pre-dating other Aboriginal art. Vansittart Bay is known for monstrous mackerels. The Eagle Falls heli-picnic is a favorite. Enjoy a picnic in breathtaking scenery. Meanwhile, the tenders will explore nearby creeks and beaches. At night, we cruise to Koolama Bay.
Day Three
The Mitchell River is famous for its large barramundi and crocodiles! Join the adventure boats for a scenic swim at Surveyors Creek or go fishing. Enjoy helicopter flights over ancient land, including the stunning Mitchell Falls. End the day with cocktails and another unique dining experience.
Day Four
Begin your day in the magnificent Hunter River, one of the most remote and breathtaking river systems in Australia. With dense mangrove forests and rainforest-covered mountains, the Hunter River offers endless opportunities for fishing, mud-crabbing, bird-watching, and exploration. Take a short hike with one of our adventure boats, or challenge yourself with a hike to Jackson Falls for even more splendour via helicopter. In the afternoon, we’ll sail to Prince Frederick Harbour and enjoy a picturesque sunset on Crystal Beach with delicious hors d’oeuvres, the perfect way to end another adventure-packed day in the Kimberley.
Day Five
Be amongst the first on deck and join an early morning fishing expedition, see more stunning rock art or join the ship’s naturalist in one of the adventure boats – all before a breathtaking helicopter flight to another picnic at beautiful Malaleuca Falls. End the day with a pearl and diamond party, where you can enjoy a glass of bubbly while trying on exquisite jewelry created by the talented artists at Allure, Jewels of the Kimberley, and Kimberley Fine Diamonds.
Day Six
Prepare to be amazed by the stunning scenery as TRUE NORTH sails through the majestic Prince Regent River. Today’s fishing targets include mouth-watering mangrove jack and fingermark bream. At King Cascade, we’ll position the ship right under the falls for an incredible experience. More adventure awaits as we take a tender ride to hike, swim, and explore the breathtaking Amphitheatre waterfall. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to visit Jurassic Park via helicopter when the first group of explorers return.
Day Seven
For early risers, there’s a chance to catch a barra at “Three Ways.” Join crew and guests on a moderate walk to Ruby Falls, where a refreshing swim in a large natural rock pool awaits. Keen anglers can opt for a heli fishing adventure to a secret spot where freshwater meets saltwater. Enjoy lunch as we sail to the unique and breathtaking Montgomery reef, where 140 square miles of coral reef rise from the ocean, exposing a privileged glimpse of another world teeming with marine life. A helicopter tour provides an even more amazing perspective.
Day Eight
Start your day off right by having the opportunity to ‘ride the tide’ through spectacular Charnley Gorge. One of the most hand-picked experiences. Jacks, fingermarked, and threadfin will also make an appearance on the list before embarking on your overnight cruise back to the stunning Rowley Shoals in the northen region.
Day Nine
We will arrive arly at glorious Clerke Reef where you will be able to try some fruit platter and enjoy a cooked breakfast before exploring the vast lagoon and outer reef of the atoll’s. Snorkellers divers will be amazed by the clear waters filled with abundant marine life – schools of fish and colourful corals. You’ll have ample chances for beachcombing on Bedwell Island, leisurely snorkeling in shallow tropical waters and experiencing world class scuba diving.
Day Ten
You will start your day with a visit to the Aquarium. Enjoy having a waist deep snorkeling experience. Brilliantly coloured corals, giant clams and more than 600 of the world’s most beautiful fish species. High-speed snorkel drifts through the outer reef would provide an unique life time experience for you guided by the crew members.
Day Eleven
Close encounters with humpback whales, manta rays and sailfish are on the agenda today. You will also have a Island Party on the beach enjoying the beautiful sunset. The finally get back to the comfort of TRUE NORTH and have another perfect night in Clerke Lagoon.
Day Twelve
Today you’re gonna spend the entire day eploring the outer reef of this remote and untouched wilderness. Before you know it , it is time for your overnight journey to Broome. Reflect on what is promised to be a once in a life time experience as the Rowleys blend into a fiery western horizon. Join the crew at the Captain’s Party and then enjoy “the
best sleep of your life”.
Day Thirteen
Your Kimberley experience has come to an end. Early in the morning arrival in Broome at 8 am.
