Itinerary
Day 1 – Buenos Aires > Ushuaia
Your journey into wonder begins in Argentina as you fly from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia where you will be warmly greeted by the crew as you step on board Scenic Eclipse. Settle into your handsomely appointed suite and acquaint yourself with all the facilities of your luxurious Discovery Yacht. Try on your custom designed parka and head to the mud-room to be fitted with your special polar boots. Toast the start of your voyage at the welcome cocktail reception hosted by the Captain who will introduce your expert Discovery Leaders and their team. Set sail and cruise through the Beagle Channel and admire the dramatic views of the Andes mountains of Tierra del Fuego from the comfort of your private verandah. Please book your flight to arrive prior to 3am.

Day 6 – South Georgia
South Georgia is one of the most unique and biodiverse environments on Earth. Due to the extraordinary nature of the region, the sailing and expedition schedule is flexible once you reach the heart of the archipelago. Your experienced Captain and Discovery Leader carefully plan each day’s activities based on the conditions on the islands, the ice and the wildlife.
Discovery
Equipped with a fleet of custom built Zodiacs and kayaks, your discovery excursions will take you to the place of your wildest dreams.
Daily excursions led by the Discovery Team offer unique insights into the environment, wildlife and history. A schedule of activities means that whilst on board you’ll have plenty to keep you occupied. You can even watch the underwater antics from the comfort of your suite with live streaming from our ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle).
Be in awe of the majesty of nature as you step onto beaches surrounded by thousands of penguins and encounter enormous southern elephant seals and countless fur seals. In Grytviken, a former whaling station, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the resting place of Ernest Shackleton.

Due to the extraordinary nature of the region, a host of choices are now open and, depending on the ice and weather conditions, the Antarctic Peninsula is yours to explore. Our experienced Discovery Team Leaders will use their expertise to design your voyage from day to day, making the most of 18–20 hours of daylight.

You will partake in daily Scenic Discovery excursions. Cruise on the Zodiacs around ice formations, step onto islands to view penguin rookeries, kayak around icebergs, hear the ice cracking and whales blow.
The Antarctic Peninsula is a haven for wildlife. Vast penguin rookeries and beaches ruled by Antarctic fur seals make every day unforgettable. Across the seasons from spring to summer to autumn it has the highest concentration of multiple species of whales and you are likely to see many species including minke, orca and humpback up close.
Under the hand of your expert Captain and his crew, Scenic Eclipse will navigate some of the most beautiful waterways and sail close to blue-tinged icebergs.
