The Grand Canyon National Park had begun carving over a million years ago although no one truly knows exactly how old it is. The park is a massive 1,218,375 acres and has 54 hard trails, all different lengths, and levels suited to fit any physical capability. The stunning Colorado River also flows 277 miles through the National Park. The park has been recently listed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The National Park is home to one of the rarest birds in the world the ‘California Condor’ only found in Arizona, Utah, and California, and is the largest bird in North America. The Grand Canyon is also home to nearly 450 species of birds and 41 reptiles. Keep an eye out whilst visiting this national park as there have been many fossils found in the area, ranging from marine and land mammals. There is an unknown small town located in the Grand Canyon National Park, Supai Village. It is inaccessible by road and only has a population of 208 people.
