Nice and the Cote d’Azur Splendours

Spend 3 nights in the beautiful city of Nice with daily tours to discover the incredible sites of the Cote d’Azur. You’ll also have plenty of time in Nice to try the local cuisine in one of the many excellent restaurants along the water front or in the old town.

DAY 1:

You’ll be met at the airport or train station. Arrive and settle into your chosen hotel. Check in is generally after 3pm.
At 7pm depart for dinner and a night out in Monaco. Drive along the coast road with its medieval villages, marinas and panoramic viewpoints. Continue through Monaco and stop at the palace where you’ll have some free time to stroll around. Continue onto Monte Carlo, view the Grand Prix Circuit before continuing onto enjoy a 3 course dinner on the terrace of Le Bistroquet restaurant, beside Casino Square. You’ll have a choice of dishes from the “Gourmet” menu. Half a bottle of wine per person and coffee included. Later you’ll have time to visit the casino or to admire the town. Return to Nice around midnight.

DAY 2:

After breakfast the morning is free for you to discover Nice, perhaps visit the flower market or the old port.
At 2pm you will be picked up at the hotel for a tour to Cannes and the hilltop village of St. Paul de Vence. First take the motorway to Cannes, city of festivals, fireworks and fabulous boutiques. Time to enjoy a stroll along the Croisette to admire the multi million dollar yachts in the marina, or visit some of the chic boutiques. Continue onto St. Paul de Vence and travel back in time and wander through the paved historical streets lined with art galleries and craft shops. A magical view the valley can be enjoyed from the cemetery ramparts. Arrive back in Nice around 6pm and evening free.

DAY 3:

Pick up at 2pm for a half day tour to view some of the great houses of today and days gone past. First stop will be Mt. Alban which affords a panoramic view overlooking the bay of Villefranche. Drive around Cap Ferrat, the chosen holiday home of the rich and famous: kings, movie stars, business magnates. Visit the Renaissance style Rothschild Villa with its impeccably laid out French gardens. Continue to Beauliew to visit the reconstituted 5th century BC Greek Villa Kerylos. Return to Nice by the Middle Corniche road. Return to Nice around 6pm. The rest of the evening is free.

Day 4

Transfer back to airport or rail station.
