The first opera house in Europe, well known for its magnificent architecture and excellent productions. The theatre has been restored in the past year and brought back to its original splendour.
• Teatro Verdi in Salerno
Rendered unfit for use because of the 1980’s earthquake, the Theatre had been closed for nearly 16 years. The restoration brought back to the light some historic-artistic details that makethe Theatre – one of the few nineteenth-century wooden structured and perfectly preserved theatres in Italy – even more precious.
