DAY 1 ADELAIDE – BAROSSA VALLEY
Meet your A&K driver/guide and head north to the picturesque Barossa Valley (75km; 1 hr 15 mins driving). Visit the famous Penfolds winery, with its highly collected label – Grange Hermitage and try your hand at winemaking. After lunch at a local restaurant, the afternoon’s touring is tailored to your tastes.

At the conclusion of touring you will check in at The Louise, Barossa Valley. Set atop a gentle hill, The Louise is a luxury 5-star vineyard retreat surrounded by hundreds of acres of vines overlooking the world renowned Barossa Valley. Just fifteen suites offer absolute luxury and inspired design with private terraces, soft contemporary furnishings and spacious ensuites.

DAY 2 BAROSSA VALLEY – FLINDERS RANGES
This morning depart for the Flinders Ranges. Tree-lined gorges, rugged mountain ranges, rolling plains, native wildlife and rich colours are all features of this ancient land. (Approximately 370km; 5 hrs driving).

Travel through historic towns with quaint cottages and historic buildings. At Clare Valley, you have an opportunity to visit one of the boutique wineries in this region. The legendary lilac haze of the Flinders Ranges, loom ever closer in the distance. You are now in the habitat of Australia’s famous wildlife – not only kangaroos and emus live here in abundance, but also many species of birds and reptiles. From here, your driver/guide will continue the tour in to the heart of the Flinders Ranges through vast sheep station country. There will be an opportunity to stop at one of the Ghost Towns for some stories and photos. Rawnsley Park Station is your destination tonight, providing access to glorious walking trails and luxury accommodation.

Arrive at Rawnsley Park Station, a multi award winning property and working sheep station that adjoins the Flinders Ranges National Park. With spectacular view of Wilpena Pound, Rawnsley Park Station provides the perfect base for exploring South Australia’s Flinders Ranges. The contemporary yet deliberately authentic eco-villas, provide a comfortable and secluded experience of the region. The remainder of the day is left to relax in the stunning surroundings.

DAY 3 FLINDERS RANGES – CLARE VALLEY – JAMESTOWN
After breakfast enjoy a private 4WD tour of the Flinders Ranges through the spectacular Gorges, discovering Ediacaran fossils embedded in the rock, before touring south to Jamestown.

The Flinders Ranges are home to a vast number of native animals and birds. Some of Australia’s best-known animals abound amongst the gum trees and on the steep, ragged slopes of the gorges. Drive through Bunyeroo and Brachina Gorges to the western side of the ranges. This region was once an ancient seabed and it now carries some of the most important early fossils. Here you will find 600 million year old fossils, a time span that defies understanding. The countryside slowly changes as you approach Jamestown and your overnight destination of North Bundaleer Homestead, but the memory of the raw majesty that is the Flinders Ranges will remain with you. (Approximately 163km; 2 hrs driving)

Registered on the National Estate, the gracious, restored homestead (1901) is set on 400 acres of native bushland and farmland, halfway between Adelaide and the Flinders Ranges, and 35 minutes north of the Clare Valley wine district. It offers secluded, friendly and lavish hosted accommodation, including gourmet dinners and open bar. Four exquisitely appointed guest rooms overlook extensive gardens and countryside. Antique furniture, open fireplaces, central heating and some air-conditioning. Fully inclusive tariff includes pre-dinner drinks, four-course gourmet dinners, cooked breakfasts and open bar.

North Bundaleer Homestead, Red Room Suite

DAY 4 JAMESTOWN- KANGAROO ISLAND
After breakfast at North Bundaleer Homestead depart for touring the Clare Valley and returning to Adelaide Airport (Approximately 207km; 2.5hrs driving).

Visit Sevenhill Cellars, the oldest vineyard in the Clare Valley, established by Austrian Jesuits in 1851 to produce altar wine. The winery continues this production and additionally offers an extensive range of dry white table wines. Depart Clare Valley and continue to Adelaide Airport for your onward flight to Kangaroo Island.

On arrival at Kingscote Airport you will be met and transferred to Southern Ocean Lodge (Approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes). En route you may commence your touring program.

Settle in to the most stunning accommodation on the island and enjoy dining this evening with an expansive view of the Southern Ocean. After dinner take a Koala Night Walk or a Southern Star Gaze Tour. (B,L,D).

DAY 5 KANGAROO ISLAND

With a rich heritage demanding rediscovery and a world-class food and wine culture, the Island offers endless opportunities for exploration and adventure.

Activities include watching the sea-lions at sunrise with a morning coffee, fresh fruit or danish before arriving back at the lodge in time for a gourmet breakfast, Kangaroo Island wildlife tours and drives, sunset sundowners and canapés, beach fishing, clifftop nature walks and koala spotting/stargazing night walks amongst other activities.

DAY 6 KANGAROO ISLAND – ADELAIDE
Your last chance to further explore Kangaroo Island. Try a spot of beach fishing or relax with a spa treatment before your return transfer to Kingscote Airport and flight to Adelaide. (B).
